Location was great but as a result it was very loud. Staff at check in and check out both very nice (Scottish girl with red hair, and an Aussie). Able to check in early. Room was clean.
It was very loud, my partner couldn't sleep as we could hear and feel the thumping of the music, even in bed. Had to ask for more toilet rolls. No plugs by bed. Very expensive for a basic room but that is Edinburgh now I suppose.

the absurd £230 a night for an Ibis

In a central location.
On check in receptionist moved us to floor 6 and said it was quieter, it would have been had it not been above a rave til 0500.
Bathrooms were a plastic pod with a door you had to slam to close.
