You get what you pay for.
The property was clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and accommodating to our little family.
The bathroom had an automated light that wouldn’t turn off. This disrupted our babies ability to sleep. The breakfast options were not great, I wouldn’t consider sandwich fillings to be breakfast.

La mas asquerosa de mi vida.
Nada.
I put a star only for one of the receptionists who solved our problems. As it allowed to arrive at the selected time and being our only night in Edinburgh we put the arrival time at 22:00 when we arrived at 22:30 apparently the room was in perfect condition our surprise came when at 23:00 we decided to go to bed and we found two huge stains of what we suppose are urine and vomit or something similar dry and embedded both in the sheets and in the mattress itself so we decided to go to reception to ask for explanations. Other guys were there having another problem so we already knew that something was going on. When one of the two workers who was working arrived, he ignored us and later when we explained the problem to him, he gave us as the only solution to give us other sheets and that we ourselves changed the stains, when I told him that paying should not be our duty to clean sheets with other people's fluids, his answer was to tell me that he had no cleaning service at that time. We went up to change them when we were doing it, finding another huge stain of what looked like dried blood, so I decided to go back down. After an hour of demanding solutions, they decided to give us a room and tell us that they would compensate us, something that never happened because they hide in the fact that they already gave us another room.

Good for a stay if you have a flight from Edinburgh airport as it’s close, there’s a tram stop nearby. I used a taxi how
Location in proximity to the airport. Room was clean and tidy and did the job for what was needed. Food in the bar decent. Staff very nice on check in and checkout.
Basic room, but functional.

My Stay
The location. Also the breakfast.
Beds were too soft. As a result I kept my mum awake with my snoring. Room was cold but as it was late when we returned we didn't want to bother staff and we had an early start next morning. It wasn't until we were about to leave my mum noticed thermostat on wall. I have been here before and it is good value.

OK for a solo traveller with small backpack for 1 night stay for early flight the next day from Edinburgh Airport
Location for good connectivity to city & airport
Very small room & shower. No space to even open a small carry-on sized bag. Average cleanliness. Not even a kettle.

Outstanding and homely
This was my fourth stay in Ibis as I've found that it's a great stop for one night when I have to catch a flight early in the morning. This time was different though and I stayed not just with my son but my whole family for a few days to explore Edinburgh. Staying there for more than one night gave me the chance to appreciate the hotel more (though I've always liked it) and chat to the people who work there who all give such a welcoming vibe and make you feel at home. I'm grateful to the manager who, like me, is from Bulgaria and found the time to come for a chat. Thank you all!
I could also enjoy a leisurely breakfast (not like when you're in a rush to catch a plane) and I found the pain au chocolat absolutely outstanding especially when still warm. The 4 cheese pizza was so very delicious too.
I'll definitely be coming back :)

Very disappointing stay
Nothing
The hotel is extremely basic and lacks even the most essential amenities such as personal hygiene items and other basic facilities. The bathroom and shower are poorly designed — just a small wooden cabin inside the room that is not sealed properly, causing water to leak into the room.
The overall room layout feels more like a hospital corridor than a hotel. Rooms are very modest, the location is far from the city, and there’s nothing nearby.
Considering the poor quality and limited services, the price is highly exaggerated and not worth it at all. Personally, I do not recommend this hotel.

Great short term accommodation, value for money. Great location to the airport. Trains close by to catch into the city.
I liked the convenience to the airport, enjoyed the bar/cafe downstairs. Friendly staff. Room was small but suitable for solo travel and had everything I needed in it.

Cheaper than others option close to the airport and fine for 2 days stay
Hotel close to the airport. The room was small but enough for 2/3 days stay.
The shower was not cleaned properly, with some hair of previous guests still on the walls. There was no shower gel left and despite we asked to get that refilled the staff didn’t do until we went again to ask the same. We were there during the Fringe so probably the prices were inflated, but overall we found the room to be too expensive for the facilities offered. Not a great value for money, but noting that Edinburgh is really expensive anyway.

Unpretentious hotel that "does what it says on the tin"
Comfortable bed.
Pleasant staff.
Good quiet location close to tram stop and shopping centre. Ideal for Murrayfield being 20 minutes away.
Not really a criticism as we knew this hotel would "do what it says on the tin" . Hotel doesn't pretend to be anything other than budget. A few more hooks and shelves would help with storage. Some more sockets would be useful. The bar was quite limited in choice.Prices were inflated just like all the hotels in Edinburgh due to concerts , Fringe , Tattoo etc. Good for a few nights.

Near tram stop which the booking information did not explain adequately. Took an (in retrospect) unecessary taxi from the airport. Should add details of nearby tram stop to booking confirmation.

Will not stay in this hotel again

Don’t know why the shower door is transparent, i stayed there with my wife and my daughter, since the door is transparent, my daughter don’t know how to take bathing. Besides there is no place to hang clothes/ towel in the shower room, so u need to come out from the shower room naked. This is disgusting.
Besides, the air conditioner will off at the midnight, so very stuffy. Also the window cannot open.

Good service, tiny and expensive rooms
Staff, ease of check-in, cheap parking, access to tram
Tiny shoe box room, not suitable for an adult and two children as specified on the booking. Extremely cramped. Would not mind if it had a budget price but it was £170 per night. Would expect much better given the location is still 30 mins from Edinburgh centre.

A lot to pay for a very basic hotel. But clean and relatively convenient for the airport.
Convenient location for the tram from the airport.
Very very basic hotel. You don’t get much for the price. No hairdryer. The front entrance would have benefitted from some attention, garbage emptied, general sweeping. Rooms feel a bit like a hospital 🤔

Good budget accommodation
Budget friendly. Staff friendly and helpful.
Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Shower is a decent size with good, hot, strong pressure.
Close to the airport. 4 minutes to a tram stop (for airport or to city centre and Leith) and another few minutes to a shopping mall.
Food and drinks available in the main entrance. Outside seating.
Nothing.

Excellent location with public Transporation and supermarket/grocery/shopping mall
Location is excellent and at quite place which is very near to public transportation (tram station), supermarket and shopping mall opposite to hotel. The best thing is that Hotel provide (at restaurant area) microwave to heat up your food, cutlery, free water, tea and coffee all the time. Anytime you can use it freely and the staff is cooperative.
Rooms are very small and didn't like overhead bunk bed.
Toilet and shower place are very small.

Overpriced and not great
I didn't have to sleep outside on the ground.
Staff told us we could leave our rental car in the car park for up to an hour before returning it, but we ended up with a 100 pound fine.
It was expensive to stay here anyway, and thinking it's 7 minutes from the airport, we could get a taxi. Taxi was 20 pounds so just beware of that.
The air-conditioning was noisy, the halls weren't particularly clean. I felt like I'm staying at some lodge I'd stay at as a kid on a school trip. Staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful.
Should have stayed somewhere else.

Overpriced, no privacy in shower, no restaurant.

no privacy in shower or toilet. overpriced breakfast, nowhere to get an evening meal near the hotel and only frozen pizza
available in the hotel. For £255 per night it was vey poor.
