I enjoyed a swim. Pool was clean but not too chlorinated Steam room was good
I would stay there again when I next come up to Edinburgh

Great transport connections to the center, stop right in front of the hotel and twenty minutes to the center. Breakfast was great, hotel pleasant.
The hotel interior is a bit retro from the 90s, but that's okay. The only thing that was a bit annoying: there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, the trash can was only a miniature one in the bathroom, and you couldn't open the window from the room to the outside.

Bedroom was spacious and very modern. The bar area near reception was warm and inviting. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. There is a Greggs nearby to grap a breakfast bap.
The car park was a bit rough - not enough parking spaces and no clear exit signs.

The staff were friendly and she felt well accommodated for.
It was clean and it felt like a Marriott.
Breakfast could be chaotic when it was very busy they run out of food quite quick, but they quickly dealt with it

I liked how they provided large flat screen TVs, and nice and easy to use air conditioning.
It would probably be very rare but the time me and my boyfriend spent there, the water was unclean, and still unclean after it was supposed to have been fixed. The bed sheets were dirty unfortunately, and we would have booked breakfast if it was cheaper.

The location was good. I enjoyed the swimming pool, the sauna and the SPA. The breakfast was good as well.
The food was too salty. The hotel is old. The room was cold. I told the receptionist, who lied she will come to my room in 20mins but never showed up. We had to go to the reception for a tissue paper. The restaurant was closed and we were not told in advance. They ruined my husband's 60th birthday. I was planning to have a dinner with him. We had to eat at the bar.

The design and location of the building; the staff ‘on the ground ´in each facet of provision; the manner of maintenance staff sent to solve problems. Waitress team and its leaders ACE.
My ‘upgraded room’ gave the impression of a room quite unused recently - a number of features not initially working.
The pool which had influenced the choice of hotel two day retreat :out of use for one of them. In order to compensate me for this one evening meal was offered cost free.
I appreciated this response but in the event I had to send the meal back (twice )- something in a lifetime I have never done!!
( 1 am an 82 year old.
One of the two lifts in the building not working throughout my stay!

We loved most things about it. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was well laid out and enjoyable with clean and comfortable surroundings. Pool area was clean and relaxation area was bright.
Only real down side were the showers in the pool changing area. Not enough and not good enough

Breakfast was very good. Leisure facilities were great. Room was lovely, and a wee unexpected room upgrade.
Comfy bed (it was quite firm but this suits me). Lots of pillows.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Nespresso machine in room. Also kettle, mini fridge, ice bucket and bottle opener.
Good transport links in to the city.
Too hot during the night. Heating came on and didn't know how to change it.
No plug in the bath.
Note I didn't raise these things and I'm sure they would have been addressed.

Location was very good
No internet in our bed room even though we complain twice

Location was good, close to the airport, close to food.
The place is stuck in a time warp, it's grubby, very thing walls, terrible pillows, cold with below average heating and the leisure section was gross. For this price, I'd expect a solid product. Danila (I think that was her name, sorry if I spelt it wrong) the receptionist was awesome though. Everything else was subpar and makes me question whether hotels even have a place in society anymore with Private abodes being competitively priced and exponentially more comfortable and presentable than a hotel that has surpassed ifs lifecycle use case.

Facilities and foid is excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom - especially the "moody shower" - was the main pain pont.
I could get over that it is a bit outdated, but we had to spend 10 min to find the spot between scalding hot and Syberian ice cold water temperature. And the shower head was giving noise like a bird chirping.

Daniella had great customer service and fantastic local knowledge which was of great help as we didn’t know the area at all or how to get about.
Staff were all friendly and we Liked all the facilities such as gym, shop and option of having drinks at the bar.
Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean.

Everything. Fantastic hotel.
The weather but that's Scotland's fault, not Marriott's

Situated well, communal areas excellent
Bedside tables hold dust and was on a 3 night stay

The gym was okay, other than that nothing more.
TV wasn’t smart and had no options other than standard television channels. The shower was tight and had no space to move. The shower screen kept swinging back in on me also. The Middle Eastern night manager was rude and forced us to our room to eat our ordered food as he said we couldn’t eat outside food in seating area of hotel (even though their kitchen was shut). The opened the bar until 2am however not for guests of the hotel. The “room service” never showed to make our bed once or remove any glasses from the room. The location was so a little far for my liking from the centre and the cost of the hotel for what we received was seriously over priced.

Room is for four people, we cbooked & checked in with 3 people....only glasses and cups for tea/coffee for 2 people....AGAIN!

The breakfast was lovely, the staff especially the breakfast waiters. They were always friendly and accommodating.
The leisure facilities were so run down. The loungers were so filthy and the smell was awful we couldn’t sit on them, run down changing rooms, doors hanging off, no keys in the lockers and the pool was generally run down and in massive need of renovation . Rooms were tatty and curtains hanging off the runners. Luckily the price was cheap for the 5 days we stayed but based on the general condition of the hotel we wouldn’t return. I have stayed in a lot of Marriott’s and this one didn’t even come close to the others.

The room was spacious, it had a table for eating at with comfy chairs. The beds were very comfy. I could not hear any noise from other rooms. A/C was very appreciated in keeping the room cool and fresh.

Beautiful clean welcoming. I carelessly booked for the he wrong date and the staff were very helpful to accommodate us for that night even managed to get us rooms across from each other.
Small thing but there is a shop selling drinks, snacks etc. it was soooo expensive. Of course I just never bought anything. Just a small point.

Clean, comfortable, buffet was excellent
No shuttle to airport; had to take the bus - didn’t like the offhand way the staff provided instructions on how to do that

Very good location, close to bus stop to City center and airport, lovely swimming pool, room just huge.
9.0 / 10.0
The location was perfect for us; very close to a bus stop for trips in to visit Edinburgh, but also close to the airport for our final morning before flying home. We also used the pool and sauna, which were a nice way to wind down after a day of walking. The breakfast is excellent, with a huge selection of both hot and cold items to suit everyone’s tastes.
4.0 / 10.0
Room was airy, bright and well equipped
The shower over the bath didn’t work. The long black hair found on one of the bath towels was unacceptable.
7.0 / 10.0
Brilliant location
Very Helpful staff
Car parking on site
Lovely cooked breakfast (buffet)
Bed was quite hard and I didn't sleep much.
Room was very hot but I could not keep the giant noisy air conditioning unit on all night.
Breakfast - many tables and chairs were used and dirty with food, likely as we came down at 9am. Please clean the tables and wipe the chairs!!! Pancake machine not working.
Expected better for the room rate.

Not a lot, some things out of the 80s.
Looks like Donald Trump was your internal designer
