It is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and it continues to reflect all you would expect when you see the Gleneagles name. Building, interiors, dining, bed rooms and especially the fantastic staff.

So classy, clean, comfy
They had heated floors in the bathroom which is out of this world
They have an unwinding service during the evening to prepare the room for sleep which is wonderful
The staff are really healthy and friendly
They answer the phone quickly and get you the things you need without any delay

Beautiful hotel. Staff were great, very friendly.
That we weren’t able to grab a drink in the bar as it was full. As a hotel guest I feel you should be able to get a drink in the hotel even if it means standing by the bar area but I was told this wasn’t allowed.

Great hotel, staff, food, and surroundings. Hotel is right in the centre of Edinburgh and Waverley station. Perfect for us and will use again.

Excellent breakfast, not a buffet but full service, freshly prepared with several great options! Beautiful, extremely clean room, all shiny and sparkly! Very attentive service everywhere: Hotel, restaurant, bell boys etc! Rooftop bar accessible only for members and hotel guests, very exclusive and with a great view of the city.
I had asked for a shuttle transport to their golf location and they suggested it, but the price for that service was way too high. So I opted for a rental car instead. Of course, they can define their pricing as they wish and I had the option to accept or not, so not a real problem.

From the moment we arrived at Gleneagles Townhouse, We were welcomed by the lovely Ewan, who made us feel right at home he took the time to personally show us to our room. What a lovely genuine man who gave us a perfect start to our stay!
We spent the evening up at Lamplighters, the beautiful rooftop bar. The atmosphere was amazing, and the cocktails were even better. I had a Cosmopolitan made the classic 1934 way…just how I like it and made to perfection.
Dinner at The Spence was fantastic, as always. We’ve eat here before, but this was our first overnight stay, and it won’t be our last. We stayed in one of the Town Rooms, which was stunning. Every detail was thought of. We returned after dinner to find the room turned down, soft jazz playing from a vintage radio, slippers by the bed, and a little sleepy spray beside the pillow such thoughtful little touches that really made the experience special. It’s those little things that truly make it.
We had the best sleep, heading back to The Spence for a great breakfast. Every member of staff we met was kind, attentive, and just lovely..thank you to you all for making our stay memorable.
We honestly don’t have a bad word to say.

Location,
Rooms were clean, concierge team members were good and helpful,
In our first morning, we waited more than 45 minutes to have our breakfast.
I made a booking through booking.com. During checkout i paid my outstanding and also upon arrival they authorized 100 pounds for 2 nights. Now, I am asking my deposit back, they answer me that during arrival the rates became high that is why they used my security deposit for the accommodation charges. It is very ridiculous because i have booking.com approved confirmation.
Also 1 week after check out they charged me 4 pounds for the minibar usage. Why after 1 week? It means that our credit cards are not secure in this hotel and anytime anyone can use our credit cards.
Additionally, during check out they are giving you the bill which shows 5%optional tips on accommodation :) It is weird, and embarrassing. It is a new kind of begging money from tourists.

Brikfast was just ok. The Location good.
I stayed at your hotel last August and had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. Unfortunately, during my recent stay this year, I noticed that the breakfast was average and the level of service didn’t quite match the high standards I experienced previously.

Fantastic stay at the townhouse. Similarly to Gleneagles, the staff are wonderful and the attention to detail is superb. Every little thing they have thought of makes the stay that bit better.
The food is also fabulous and good value for money, as are the mini bar prices. I don’t believe they are ripping you off, especially considering you’re in central Edinburgh.
The history of the building is fascinating and the hotel itself is immaculate. I would absolutely recommend and hope to stay again!

Exceptional breakfast and rooms are to die for. Staff went above and beyond!
They have a gorgeous spa and gym area however the infra red light sauna is disappointing - it is tepid at best. Lockers in the gym also did not work. I was given the gym class timetable before arrival and also upon arrival - this was completely different to the schedule in practice which was frustrating as I couldn't plan.

It’s rich in history, the staff were kind and helpful, the rooms were outstanding with lots of cozy details, they clean and checkup the rooms more than one time a day to make it better, the location is amazing near to everything it’s located in new town but minutes away from the old town and it’s charming.
Literally nothing everything was perfect

Stunning building, lovely rooftop bar and great dinner venue
Paid for a superior room and allocated bedroom on ground floor facing onto square. Got little sleep due to poor sound insulation on windows and constant stream of people, buses and trams creating noise all night. Breakfast service poor with long delays for food.

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable rooms, lovely festive decor throughout.
I brought my dog with me and was absolutely shocked at £100 charge per night for having a pet. Considering the cost to stay at the hotel this charge I feel is outrageous.
