I’ve stayed at Marriott Rotterdam three times now and have always had wonderful experiences, which is why I chose the hotel again while celebrating a special occasion. Unfortunately, my first time trying in-room dining for breakfast didn’t match the high standard I’m used to. I ordered breakfast on Saturday, November 15th, expecting a cozy and relaxed morning. After almost an hour of waiting with no update, I called the front desk and was told the order had been delivered to the wrong room. Because of this, the food arrived cold, and since the kitchen had already closed, reheating wasn’t possible. Some items also weren’t what I expected. I ordered waffles thinking they’d be freshly made, but they turned out to be pre-made sugar waffles — something I could buy at a supermarket for a much lower price. Clearer descriptions on an in-room dining menu would have helped avoid this confusion. Although I appreciated that the breakfast charge was removed, the experience continued to feel rushed. Less than an hour after finally receiving my (cold) breakfast, a staff member knocked on my door asking if I was finished because they needed the tray back due to having only a limited number available. After such a delay, this made the whole experience feel even more uncomfortable. I want to emphasize that I truly love this hotel and the staff has always been kind and professional. This feedback comes from a place of honesty and respect.

Rude front desk staff felt like I was bothering them. This happened during check-in and when I had a couple of questions regarding the hotel during my stay and each time I asked a question I received a rude, short response. Poorly trained in my opinion. All other service staff were excellent. This is a very nice hotel, excellent location, with clean and comfortable rooms.

Room clean, safe, nice view. Poor lights. Is not a 4 star hotel. No pool. Fridge is empty,only a bottled water. No bathroom supplies (shower cup, toothbrush) Room for 2 but only one chair (?). Wifi page is confusing, you are asked to pay 9e for a decent connection. TV very poor, only a few channels. Guests want to use our TVapps, but the TV is old, you cannot connect you devices, neither your apps. Too expensive.

The service was top-notch. From every single greeting we got as we entered the lobby, to the eagerness to fulfill any request, to the large comfortable room… this was a great experience. We could not help but notice the eager, friendly service at every turn. This hotel made a perfect hub for us to explore all of the magical towns we wanted to visit. Just an optional experience in every way.

The toilet paper and tissue was the roughest in any hotel we’ve stayed at in the world! So rough, we were afraid of hurting ourselves while wiping. Newspaper would be easier on your bum. Also, no breakfast other than their $50 buffet. We don’t like that much food, a coffee and pastries cart would have been nice.
