A Wonderful Introduction to Orvieto

I had just stayed in an historic apartment, so although the Loft Centro Storico was in an old part of Orvieto, it was modern & bright inside. I loved the paintings on the walls. Everything was modern and very clean. The bedroom on the mezzanine level was interesting with the glass floor. The bed was very comfortable & I slept very well during my stay. The location was convenient-a simple walk to the Centro and the bus stop outdoors when needed. It was very quiet indoors. The sofas were lovely to curl up on & I enjoyed looking out from the window seat. The hosts quickly answered all my questions-I know I had a lot, but the information they provided helped me feel comfortable in Orvieto.

I did find the iron in the bathroom, but didn’t use it as I couldn’t locate the ironing board. I know I could have asked, but I had already asked so many questions! It would be good to have a sponge for washing up the dishes. Overall everything was great!

Cozy, clean, quiet and convenient.

The loft is nestled in the quieter, medieval part of town but still convenient (~6 min walk) to access the busier parts. Driving through the town to drop off my bags prior to parking in the nearby parking lot was a fun life experience in itself (picturesque and narrow but not a ZTL). The apartment was very clean and cozy. Everything was modern and comfortable. As a solo traveller I felt safe walking around at night and early in the morning.

The shower head is large and the shower itself is a little small. It was somewhat difficult to avoid the water if trying not to get my hair wet. Minor inconvenience when compared to the rest of the apartment though.

Lovely stay

Loved being in the old part of the town even though it took a bit of navigating to get there being in a ZTL come. It was close to good places to eat and all the sights were right there on the doorstep. The accommodation had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful.

Beautiful apartment, very comfortable and very clean. Cute decor and nice attention to details. Worked great for me as a solo traveler.

Location was good, very quiet. Would have preferred a place a little closer into city center, but that was my mistake for not double checking the location. That being said..it was still an easy walk back to the apartment. Just at the very far end of town.

Great apartment in a convenient location.

Lovely clean room with thought put into providing helpful information and items in the room for guests. Comfortable bed, great Airconditioning & good shower. The apartment access on the ground floor was great & it’s just a short walk to shops and sights. We would stay here at again. The host communication was prompt and helpful to make check in and our stay stress free.

A spacious well appointed apartment in a great location in Orvieto, close to parking with a lift and all the main attractions of the town. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The hosts were helpful with directions and arranged for someone to meet us with the key and show us around the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Modern renovation of old palazzo

This was one of our favourite stays in Italy. The apartment is much better than it appears in the photos with a very new fit-out in a historic building and the bedroom on a mezzanine. In the only part of the town so beautiful to walk around and very close to everything.

Best place to stay in Ovierto.

I loved the location and our room.It was located near the shops and restaurants but not too close for it to be noisy. Oksana,our host,was quick to answer my calls and questions. She was actually very helpful. The room was quite new and the bed was comfortable. Value for money!

The perfect place to stay in Orvieto

Everything! Very well appointed apartment perfect for our needs. Lots of character and beautifully decorated. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The hosts Ianis and Oxsana could not have been more helpful from useful messages before our arrival to helping us book reservations and providing transportation for our excursion. I cannot fault this accommodation and would highly recommend staying here. The location is very quiet yet only a few minutes walk from all the attractions of Orvieto and it is on the CC bus line from the funicular railway to the duomo.

Centrally located, a truly special accommodation. Absolutely loved it.

Our host was amazing. There was such excellent communication and specifics from the get-go, well before our arrival. The also made sure to give us recommendations of restaurants, what to do and day trips from our location. This host went ABOVE AND BEYOND in EVERYTHING. I haven't even touched upon the property yet. The location itself is easily within walking distance to the center of town and major locations. Prepare yourself for hill walking but this is the entire town itself. It was a wonderful surprise just entering our location, through its big green door and separate private entry. In the morning, the view from the backside of the apartment was breathtaking! The apartment itself was very comfortable in all aspects. Looking outside of its windows made you feel you were in a very special place. AMAZING!

This modern room in an old Palace, Palazzo Carvajal, was very clean and well organised. The host was kind and approachable. We were even left with a surprise in the fridge, 😍. The room is well located. It was great to wake up to some coffee and snacks before our adventures. It was amazing to have a comfy bed and AC after a long, hot day out. I would definitely recommend staying here! Hope to visit again someday.

Comfortable stay in centre of Orvieto

It’s in a convenient location, walking distance from everywhere but in a quiet area. The beds are comfortable, it was clean and had a small fridge, coffee machine and kettle, as well as glasses, mugs etc. The hosts were very friendly!

The bathroom remains quite damp so best to leave the extractor fan on for longer. It’s an uphill walk of about 20mins (as is all of centre of Orvieto) from the funicular station so keep that in mind if you’re not planning to take a bus.

So lucky to be here

7 accommodations down in our trip around some of Italy and I do no give 10 s easily but I had no trouble giving that score for this accommodation. Big shower the view two steps from your back door is special. The owners wre around quickly when the WiFi stopped and fixed it pronto. Special treats left for guests. After getting the funicular get on the free c bus show him the street name and trust he will drop you there then relax. Comfortable bed. Laundromat not far 3mins? away. Iron in apartment.. Heated towel rail which dried the small items.

May be a hand rail going up to the bedroom would make guests feel a little safer.

Nice peaceful stay in Orvieto

Great location close to beautiful town centre. The loft was a really nice and unique stay. The window seating areas in particular made the loft really homey. Very clean with sufficient tea, coffee and snacks.

The shower was a bit awkward for size and only a overhead shower head. The upstairs bed would have been more comfortable with a proper duvet and extra pillow.

Meraviglioso soggiorno in una città da favola

Posizione meravigliosa, in pieno quartiere medievale proprio sopra il pozzo della cava. Lontana da traffico e movida della zona Duomo. Recentemente e intelligentemente ristrutturata, perfetta per una coppia ma anche per coppie con figli. Collegata perfettamente a funicolare e stazione (fermata bus CC di fronte al portone) comunque a 5 min a piedi dal Duomo e 15 dalla funicolare. I suggerimenti dell' host hanno poi reso il soggiorno veramente speciale.

Come detto casa di recente ristrutturata in modo molto intelligente per recuperare ogni spazio. Ci va di segnalare alcune piccolezze che potrebbero rendere eccezionale il soggiorno di chiunque. Letto: comodissimo nonostante il soppalco, da verificare alcuni scricchiolii che potrebbero disturbare il sonno. Cucina: una cappa per aspirare i fumi e qualche strofinaccio in più sarebbero l'ideale. TV: ne abbiamo usufruito pochissimo ma non siamo riusciti a usare il collegamento ai canali satellitari, qualche istruzione in piu' sarebbe ideale.

Hübsches kleines, sehr hohes Zimmer, angenehmer Parkett. Gute feste Matratze. Sehr gemütliche Leseecke in der hohen Fensternische, über ein paar Stufen zugänglich. Überhaupt attraktive innenarchitektonische Lösungen, um den Raum optimal zu nutzen. Im Erdgeschoß eines historischen Gebäudes, im Innenhof schöner Fernblick. Mein Fahrrad konnte ich im Zimmer abstellen. Viele Tipps und Hinweise von der Vermieterin.

Feucht/stickiges Raumklima (ebenerdig). Kein Insektenschutzgitter im Fenster (allerdings chemischer Schutzstecker vorhanden).

Traumhaftes Zimmer in der Altstadt, besser gehts nicht, und beste Betreuung!

So ein tolles Zimmer (Loft) in der Altstadt von Orvieto zum bekommen war für uns ein Traum! Optimale Informationen über die Zufahrt zum Zimmer. Genaueste Beschreibungen und viele zusätzliche Infos über Restaurants/Frühstück/Supermarkt/.........! Parkplatz mit Lift oder Rolltreppe gut zu Fuß zu erreichen (Bezahlparkplatz). Optimale Ausstattung im Zimmer (Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Fernseher, Internet), schönes Badezimmer und sehr modernes Interieur. Es hat alles bestens geklappt, super Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Altstadt und alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Nette Restaurants! Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen es gerne weiter!

El apartamento que me tocó era bastante pequeño en caso de ser más personas. Le faltaba un poco de luminosidad y ventanas para poder airear la habitación.
