Book and Bed

Fantastic location in centre of town. Very spacious apartment, three bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms. We stayed in the heat of summer and inside was cool enough with fans.

What an absolute delight ‘Book and Bed’ is to stay in……….could not ask for a better place in Orvieto, with private parking, or a more helpful host as Mario. Mario provided excellent information on arriving into Orvieto & also offered to make not only restaurant recommendations, but made the bookings for us which was greatly appreciated. There was only 2 of us in the apartment, but it could easily sleep many more with two full size bedrooms plus a mezzanine with 2 single beds on it. A good size lounge room, dining room, 3 full bathrooms plus a functional kitchen area provides all that you could possibly need & then there are all of the amazing books! We enjoyed browsing through many of the incredible collection of historical books that adorn the apartment. Mario’s restaurant recommendations of Trattoria la Palomba & Osteria Mamma Angela were both great – thank you again Mario for your hospitality.

The location was wonderful. Literally 20 strides to the main shopping street of old Orvieto. The garage was spacious, ( but take a small car because the old streets are small). Three showers, all clean, decent bedding , lots of space and the pleasure of being surrounded by books. Terrific.

Such a spacious, quirky apartment - there were only the two of us but plenty of room for at least 4 adults and 2 children. Very comfortable and everything you might need was available, washing machine, iron, large fridge etc. Great location and unlike many places we’ve stayed in Italy we were able to use the garage which was right under the apartment and not a big walk away. Orvieto was magnificent especially the cathedral. Lots of restaurants and great shops within easy reach of the apartment.
