A perfect place to stay for those looking to explore the Southeast Coast.

Everything about our stay was amazing. Mel and Trish were so kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Breakfast was amazing. The location was perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mel helped us out with local knowledge to plan our days. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything about the place was fantastic - perfect location halfway between the train and the sea down a nice quiet street, super clean room, delicious breakfast with lots of options for us and the kids, the friendliest hosts who helped us with everything we needed and even had a lovely gift waiting for my daughter when we came down for breakfast on her birthday. When we’re back in Weymouth - we’re staying here

Wonderful place to stay in Weymouth

Very good breakfast that left no wishes unaddressed and super friendly and helpful hosts who were very nice to our children and explained a lot of activities, restaurants and possible trips to us. The room was cosy and clean and there was on street parking available with a parking permit we got from the guesthouse. It is very close to the beach and easy to walk into the town centre. We would love to come back to this lovely place.

Excellent few days break.

Mel was so informative when we arrived. He helped with our luggage. Told us about breakfast times and how to order . Mel also told us about the fireworks that were happening that evening. They were brilliant.

Exactly how you’d imagine a B&B should be.

Calm Sea Guesthouse is run by Mel and Trish who clearly enjoy hosting their guests and this influences every aspect of the experience. The room we stayed in was well equipped and immaculately clean. Breakfasts in the mornings were lovely, waffles and pancakes were a hit with the children, and served with cheer. Thank you.

Mel and Trish were exceptionally warm and helpful hosts who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, offering great recommendations for local sights and restaurants. The location was perfect—just a short walk to town, the beach, and plenty of dining options—while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The room was spotlessly clean and cozy, and the guesthouse was close to some truly beautiful natural spots. Out of all the places I stayed during my three weeks in the UK, this was by far my favorite. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

I was dreading a trip to Weymouth. My first and last trip was over 40 years ago. It didn’t go well. This one was amazing

The property was clean, warm and ideally located. Mel and Trish was amazing, caring, a vast amount of local knowledge and ideas to give us ideas where we may like to visit. They was very attentive. And the breakfast was gorgeous. Miss it all already.

Perfect! Our stay exceeded our expectations

Our room was perfect! We also felt that the breakfast was fresh with lots of options. We liked the idea that we could book a time to have our breakfast and pre-order. We also liked the 'honesty box' for snacks ... this was very welcome after a night out!

The parking is challenging, as the area is mainly permit parking. This is something that is out of the control for Trish and Mel. In future we are considering using the train.

Lovely guesthouse owned by the loveliest people

Our stay at was great, really can't fault it. Mel & Trish were so lovely and couldn't do enough for us and the other people staying. It's in a perfect location for me, close to friends and the beach is only a short walk. We had everything we needed in our room and was comfortable the whole weekend. Already planning our return in August! Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant, we will be revisiting!

The hosts were very attentive, they remembered the reason for our visit and asked about it in the morning. They gave my friend a gift as it was her birthday which was a wonderful touch! The breakfast was very high quality and the location was very handy for the main town.

If I had to be fussy and say something, I would mention the bathroom tiles (by the sink) could have had a better quality of finish and the plug sockets were old fashioned ones. But they are just very minimal details.

The owners were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome, and went over and above when it came to our booking!!! Breakfast was absolutely fabulous and the room was exactly what was needed! Even down to the cold drinks and snacks in reception, absolutely perfect!

Nothing about the B&B at all, only thing is the parking restrictions (max 1 hour) Not the fault of the owners, and they have a permit for parking in a car park nearby, but it should be noted for those with mobility issues (as I believe it may say on street parking in the advert, but happy to be wrong!)

Mel & Trish went above and beyond. They could not do enough for you. Breakfast was a lovely full English and they kept asking if you wanted more. Mel gave us a full tour guide of Weymouth of where to go and to eat.

Superb

Mel and Trish were just the best hosts. They allowed us to arrive at 10.30am and leave our luggage, Mel jumped in the car and showed us where to park, then walked us to the beachfront and gave us a run down of the local area, he had loads of recommendations of what to do and how to get about, very knowledgeable of the area. The room was lovely and they'd left a big bag of sweets for each of our kids, (4&8). Tea, coffee, milk, TV, and some board games in the room for the kids. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with a great variety, catered very well for the kids who loved it all. Great location as was only a tiny walk to the quieter end of the beach on a side road. It's about 3 minutes to the beach, 6 minutes to the soft sandy part of the beach with the rides etc. We had keys to get in after hours if we wanted, there was no restrictions put on us with regards to coming and going and we could contact them easily by phone.

Great little place in Weymouth

Super friendly and helpful service. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolute stars!! Decor fresh and tasteful Breakfast had good choices and was tasty! Location good, 1 min from the front but away from any noise.

The bathroom was a little cramped and the shower wasn't great. But all perfectly good enough for a short break.

Everything about our stay at Calm Sea was perfect from start to finish. Mel and Trish are very down to earth. We were made to feel very welcome. We felt very relaxed. We were able to drop our luggage off early so we could park the car. Mel helped direct and advise us on where ro park. Calm Sea was clean and tidy, the decor was trendy, the beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, and the breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice. I would say it's the best guesthouse we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a few). We will definitely be returning (sooner rather than later, I hope). Mel and Trish went above and beyond. Thank you for having us.

A hidden gem called Calm Sea!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this charming guest house! The hospitality extended by Mel and Trish was truly exceptional and made us feel right at home. From the warm welcome to the attentive assistance throughout our stay, their dedication to ensuring our comfort was evident. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the delectable food served - each meal was a culinary delight that showcased the host's culinary expertise. The combination of cozy accommodations, impeccable service, great recommendations and mouthwatering breakfast meals created an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem for another delightful getaway! Other guests have booked their stay for next year! So make sure you book early or you’ll missed out!

Wow, wow, wow!

We just returned from a two-night stay at the Calm Sea Guesthouse, and what a find! We arrived much later than originally planned, but after a quick phone call, Trish assured us it wasn’t a problem. Check-in was quick and simple, and both Trish and Mel took us straight to our room. We had room five, which had a double bed and a bunk bed for the not-so-young children. The room was clean, bright and airey. There is a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, even a mini fridge, just the right size for holding a pint of milk! We had an ensuite shower room that was very clean and tidy, as with the bedroom. Mel and Trish then gave us a rundown of where to go and places to visit. This was incredibly useful as this was our first visit to Weymouth. They recommend places to eat and drink as well as local attractions like the Sea Life Centre and the Crazy Golf, which we booked for Saturday. We booked breakfast for Saturday morning, pre-ordering our requirements. We headed out for Friday night. We had already booked a table at Shalims Bali House, which we can also fully recommend. We got back to the guesthouse around 11pm. Up in time for breakfast. Everything from full English to fruit bowls and cereal. Even Marmite, but you have to ask for it ;) Saturday, we were out all day. We had an excellent stay at the Calm Sea Guesthouse. Mel and Trish cannot do enough for you. They are the most attentive hosts you could possibly imagine. The place is perfectly positioned in the centre of Weymouth but just that bit outside for it to be quiet. We slept both nights with the window wide open and no issues. We would 100% recommend you stay at the Calm Sea Guesthouse and we give if *F*I*V*E* stars. We booked for next year during checked out!
