Summary:

The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this 4-bedroom and 4-bathroom apartment, located at the heart of Barcelona's City Center, perfect for those traveling with children or business groups. The Eixample neighborhood is safe and family-friendly with plenty to do on your doorstep. The apartment is located next to Paseo de Gracia street, and 10 min away from Plaza Catalunya, the city centre of Barcelona.



The Space:

Welcome to this 150 m2 spacious and bright flat located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. This four-bedrooms apartment that’s spacious, bright and has a nice organization of the rooms can be divided into two units, enjoying from privacy on each of both apartments (please note those are rented together and there is no option to rent them separately).



We are managers of other apartments in the building, really convenient for big families or business trips. Please note all apartments are almost identical, on layout, equipment and characteristics, but there might be some small changes on decoration.



If discrepancies are detected in the guest information submitted during online registration, check-in must be completed in person with a member of our team for verification purposes.



⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:

The Eixample is a modernist district that stretches from Plaça de Catalunya and includes both residential and business areas. It is the neighbourhood where you can find Carrer de Valencia, in which the apartment is situated. It’s known for its grid system of straight streets, which was built in the 1860s to accommodate the city’s rising population. There are many restaurants and cafes in this region, which is full of modernist structures with stone and iron embellishments on their façade.



Getting Around:

The closest metro station is Passeig de Gracia (Lines 2, 3 & 4).

The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.



Other Things to Note:

*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***



- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.



- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.



- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation

and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.



*** CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT ***



Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs



Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)



*** HOUSE RULES ***



1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction

2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.

3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).

4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.

5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.

7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.



Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Great location - near restaurants and shops - fantastic for all of us. Walkable and safe. Not a lot of extras. The toilet was broken - they took care of it right away, which was good. TV also did not work. Towel heaters in bathrooms were lovely, and the beds were comfy. Small bathrooms could use a shelf. Overall I would recommend and you will be comfortable.

This was the perfect sized apartment for two families--a total of 9 people. The space is essentially two apartments mirroring each other. With this many people, the number of bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was wonderful! But the overall cleanliness of the apartment was very disappointing. At check-in the apartment had been cleaned, but it felt like it was just a surface cleaning. The linens were obviously changed, but the bathrooms, kitchens, and floors didn't seem thoroughly cleaned, and all bathrooms had an intense sewer smell. Additionally, throughout the apartment many walls were dirty, showing scuff marks and stains, and there were many items needing repair--a broken lamp in one of the living rooms, a taped-up window in one of the bedrooms, a shelf missing in one of the refrigerators, a non-working television cable, to name a few. Although the apartment is spacious and located in an amazing neighborhood close to shops, restaurants, bars, markets, pharmacies, etc., for the price you are paying to stay here, it would only seem reasonable that the apartment is in great shape, and this one was not. That being said, communication with the host/management was great from start to finish, which was always appreciated. I would absolutely recommend staying in this apartment, if it is cleaned up and repaired.
