The Collection Barcelona - Paseo de Gracia 5BD and 3BTH for 10 with Terrace

Plenty of space for the 10 adults we had staying. Air conditioning worked well, which was crucial since Spain had a heat wave while we were there. Clean, comfortable, elevator worked well. The location was excellent -- two blocks from Casa Batllo and a Metro station. Grocery stores, restaurants, bars, all on the same block and nearby. Safe location.

Cannot fault this accommodation at all - great location, friendly host who was extremely attentive and easy to contact, perfectly clean, spacious, great facilities and gorgeous interiors. Would 100% stay here again.

The messaging was very prompt before our arrival. Once we arrived, it took hours for an answer. The host said to message on arrival to see if we could drop off our luggage early as our cruise ship was dropping us off before 8am and check in was at 5pm. My messages went unanswered for 2 hours. I finally called the emergency number which sounded like a very big company that doesn't have time for renters.....(the Collection) and the man said we absolutely could not get in til 5 pm and I would have to call again later in the day to see if we could leave the bags before. We spent $100 euros for a storage locker for us and my goddaughter spent another $100 euros for hers and then I realized I had finally gotten a reply form the host at 11am (trying him/her since 8am) saying we could leave the bags.......that was just the start. No washcloths in bathrooms, just 1 large towel for each and one for the floor outside each shower. The a/c splits in the 2 front bedrooms barely cooled. The rear bedroom and kitchen had central air and was fine. No niceties, no coffee, no personalized service or contact. We paid a hefty price being it was last minute and we were definitely not treated like we were appreciated.
