Lovely stopover & booked again

Lovely room, comfy bed, clean & very convenient for what I wanted. Really nice fit out with character to match the pub, yet modern features for today’s stopovers.

Might be worth providing an info sheet for guests to work the hearing & entry/exit codes etc - minor issue.

A real gem, book today!

Location was brilliant, smack bang on the high street and within walking distance of all shops and facilities. Lovely, warm, cosy, traditional pub with all that that entails. Our room overlooked the high street but it was still very quiet. Bed was extremely comfortable and towels were thick and white. Shower was hot and had plenty of pressure and the TV was probably the biggest of any hotel room that we've stayed in. Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome and at ease. Excellent range of beers too. Very well stocked fridge with milk and water and a good choice of nibbles to go with the tea and coffee supplied in the room. Absolutely no problem in recommending this pub and would like to stay here again.

Perhaps Small tablet of soap at the wash handbasin? Bar snacks and breakfast?- but not to worry, there was a Wetherspoons a hundred yards away. a couple of Indian and Chinese takeaways within 50 yards or, if you're feeling really adventurous, there's Povey's Oatcakes just across the road and they can supply breakfast or lunch with some creative fillings and you can watch them being made too.

Friendly greeting by Steve, made to feel welcome. Fresh milk on arrival. Very informative about places to eat. Lovely cosy room. Comfy bed, bathroom spotless, Superb location.

One night the noise from the pub below the room was audible , must have had a noisy group of people in. Didn't go on much past 11 though. Other rooms may not have this issue, mine was at the front

A beautiful, very cosy room, beautiful en-suite shower room, friendly staff. Only thing I would advise to add would be a light breakfast, even fruit & yoghurt.

The stairs are very steep but to be expected in such an old building. A chair in the bedroom would be a valuable asset.

A great little pub with comfy rooms for a relaxing stay.

A great little pub with rooms, we stayed just one night, meeting friends who lived nearby. The room was warm, comfy and well appointed, with a lovely shower. The staff were so helpful, and were quick to replace a lightbulb that had gone; even compensating us with a couple of beers to say sorry. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we'll definitely stay there again when we go back to visit our friends

A delightful pub with a very high standard of accommodation.

Very friendly and welcoming host. Large, clean and well-equipped twin room. Hassle-free and convenient. It was a pleasure to stay at The Royal Oak in Biddulph and I would do so again without any question.

We had a nice overnight stay and were pleased with the room comfort and cleanliness.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and nicely decorated. There was a fridge with water and milk which is appreciated. The guest area and room security is well thought out and reassuring. There was no noise from the pub area below.

The stairs, while well lit and provided with hand rails, are quite steep, care is needed when taking bags up and down. Could have done with some info re. the heating system i.e. is there a master timer?

Lovely stay

We had a very lovely welcome and shown to our room straight away. Rooms were beautiful and very clean. We had booked 4 rooms between us and each room was lovely. Tea and coffee facilities were great and the fresh milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. Staff very welcoming and was in contact from booking. We had a lovely stay and will stay again. Beautiful pub.

I Was Recommende The Royal Oak by Friends in Biddulph. I Was Attending a Friends Funeral and Staying Overnight. On arrival I Was Greeted by The Landlord Steve Who Was Very Helpful and Informative, Showing Me to My Room and Explaining Security Measures, My Room Was Immaculate, Decoration, Cleanliness and Facilities, The Pub is an Old Style Traditional Pub With a Great Range Of Beers, Again The Pub Is Immaculate (Decoration/Cleanliness). I Had a Drink in The Pub Which Was Ver Busy (8.00pm Friday) Sociable Crowd and My Cask Beer Was Excellent I Had A Great Nights Sleep in a Very Comforyable Double Bed, In The Morning I Found The Shower to Be Powerful and Pleanty Of Hot Water, Cannot Fault The Royal Oak and Would Highly Recommend it to Anyone, The Pricing is Excellent and For The Quality of Accomodation and Service is Great Value

A lovely, friendly and very clean Pub and accommodation. Very handy for a drink and a chat with people at the end of the day. Plenty of places within walking distance to get breakfast or a meal.

The pub could be noisy but once it closed at 11 pm the people and noise soon went. This is to be expected when staying at a pub.

Great pub and very helpful host, Steve. The room was really clean and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and quality bed linen. Tea/ coffee making facilities were plentiful. Parking is limited on site but Steve was very helpful in moving a car to create a space for us. Easy check in and out.

Almost perfect for what we wanted.

Hadn't realised it was all bed and no breakfast, which was probably my fault. Otherwise it was excellent, staff were responsive and helpful, and the faceted spot on. The hanging baskets were first rate, indeed the town itself was beautiful with flower displays everywhere?

Excellent Pub accomodation with friendly staff, good location and well appointed

Location is excellent - close to Town Hall and good Oatcake Shop. Room 3 was clean and spacious with view over high street. Bathroom was warm and plenty of hot water. Entry via bar or private alley way.

As a room over a pub you do get some noise during business hours (pub closes promptly at 23:00 and is then quiet). All rooms on first floor and the stairway is narrow and bit steep (getting large suitcase up there requires donkey)
