Beautiful hotel set in gorgeous grounds. The staff were quite buy when we arrived and just gave me directions to the room rather than showing me (it was a tricky route! ) I also think it would have been polite to mention that there was a function on in the evening and there would be loud music until midlnight.

Lovely country house, good value for stay though drinks in bar were pricey. Several noisy parties including children left to roam corridors made it less of a restful stay than it could have been.

Can’t really fault the facilities and the staff. My only slight gripe was that the vegetarian bacon was seriously overcooked on the first day, and seriously undercooked on the second. A small thing I know, and perhaps not relevant to the majority of people who are meat eatersAside from this, the breakfast was good.
