It is so fun to stay somewhere independent with true personality and so reasonably priced. I'm so glad Congleton doesn't have Travelodge or This is such a wonderful place to stay in Congleton. The rooms are next to Reubens (well known as an excellent restaurant and bar) on historic Lawton Street. Beautiful, simple, clean, modern decoration. Well stocked with tea, coffee, snacks, fresh milk. Great fluffy towels. Absolutely spotless. Big shower with amazing water pressure (which was surprising as I think the building is very old, some of the building on the street are 16th Century). Also, eat at Reubens while you're there - cosy, family run restaurant. The food and staff are wonderful.
There is nothing we didn't enjoy. It was excellent.

Glitch in the system but once we were in, we were very happy.
The room was comfortable and cosy. The towels and bed linen were lovely, the location was great and in spite of the central location, the room was quiet
The system meant we should have received a message with our door code and room number before arrival. This didn’t happen. We waited in the restaurant and if it hadn’t been for Izzie who worked there, my review would be much more critical. Izzie was great. She gave us tea and reassurance while she contacted someone to send us the message.

Lovely comfy room, close to lots of local amenities
Lovely clean room. Cereals and tea/coffee available. Milk and water in fridge on landing. If small fridge was in the room would have improved score, but we were aware of this, and to be honest wasn’t a big problem. Ideally located for numerous restaurants and bars. We had booked for Beartown brewery tour which was only 5 minutes away so perfect for our requirements.
The stairs to the property could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

It was okay other the the cleanliness of it.
The property was okay. No major issue per say.
I didn’t like the fact that, it was so much dust on the head board of the bed which irritated my sinuses the entire stay. It was dirty in the draw of the desk. The cleaning could definitely be better.
