NEW Grade 2 historic flat in the heart of Chester

Very accessible and had lots of facilities that we weren't expecting to have for such a stay, both beds were comfortable to sleep in, even if when you sleep in the loft you can clearly hear the noise from the upstairs neighbours but it wasn't a bother and honestly expected considering how close to the ceiling it was. TV had a good selection of apps and channels to choose from and the WiFi was good as well, the washing machine was also of a big help and so were the kitchen facilities. Definitely do consider that during Friday and Saturday nights (and possibly Sundays) that there will be noises and music from the pubs down the street including the one opposite of the hotel but the ability to close up the windows with the little doors tucked away to the sides of it was able to muffle out the noise a tad, sleeping in the loft was better during those nights compared to sleeping in the downstairs bedroom, but it's something to be expected with such a location so it wasn't something I fussed over much.

Everything was good with the slight exception of the fridge possibly not working? Freezer worked fine but with the fridge it seemed to not be cold at all and did beep occasionally but it's something that could possibly have been a fault on our end rather than the property owners, the freezer food was fully okay but with the fridge I'd say to not keep stuff that can expire easily if left out in sort of room temperature settings, it was good to keep sweets and such in though to make them not melt as easily on the hotter days. Everything else worked as expected.

The location was ideal for me: a 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride to the train station—with local attractions, shops, bars, and restaurants on the doorstep.

The only thing that might be an issue for some was the Friday night live music across the street. Every other night was fairly quiet by 10 pm. I was OK with it, and there's always the option of sleeping in the mezzanine bedroom at the back of the apartment. Accessing the mezzanine could be an issue for older or younger folks; the steps are narrow and steep. I'm 67, and I had no problem.

Great Location for walking to every thing in Chester as it’s in the pedestrian area and size of the flat is good

The smell of drains as you walk in to the flat needs addressing maintenance issues probably, but not in the main room you’re in which was a godsend. Didn’t spoil our stay here.
