The Drey - Modern cottage for four in York Centre

Super little home really close to the centre of York. Couldn’t beat location. Great communication, easy check in and had everything we needed. Beds really comfy and the bath was lovely.

The house definitely needs a makeover. Paintwork needs redoing and carpets need cleaning, it’s tired in places. Doesn’t affect stay much but if you’re paying the same as or similar to a hotel, it should be reflected in the standard. A lick of paint will do wonders to this property.

Right in the centre , a few streets away, so nice and quiet.

Lovely quiet location, really liked the conservatory/dining spacd

Great location within easy reach of the city centre and lots of local amenities, as well as being a quiet residential area away from the busy nature of the city. The bed was very comfortable and having mod cons made it more comfortable.

Unfortunately the property had not been cleaned well- very dirty carpets, previous people's rubbish under the beds and the blankets on the ends of both beds had stains on them which looked to be either dribble or snot. I had brought my own towel and blanket to use on the off chance this wasn't a clean property. The house is in need of TLC- there was a broken handle on the coffee table, deep cracks to the walls throughout the property, and most notably a broken chair in one of the bedrooms meaning you couldn't sit at the dressing table, which also had a broken drawer. The TV aerial had fallen off the roof due to the wind so this wasn't working, which I informed the property of. There was also a broken roof tile on the conservatory. Hopefully these areas will be seen to before other guests occupy the property.
