Cosy little house, 10 mins from the town centre.

Location was good, close to the centre. Small but perfectly formed terrace house, warm and cosy. Everything you need for a weekend away.

No parking at the property, so had to walk 10 mins with the luggage.

Great little house in a great location to visit York

The property is well laid out with everything there that we needed. The welcome pack was a really nice touch. Had a cosy feel to it. The main tourist area of York a very short walk and the parking on Nunnery lane was very easy and straightforward

The only thing we didn't like was the property had a downstairs toilet which i don't think was in the description. This would not put me off going back though

Due to our mobility and age the stairs are a little steep, not a problem for most people, but it would have been useful to know in the description. Having said that if it had I may not have chosen this property and then I would have missed out on this little gem of a home.

Location was great

Staircase rather dangerous. Far too steep and narrow steps. Not recommended for elderly or people with mobility problems. Toilet flushing did not work well. I say a post by someone on booking.com with same issue.

Wonderful character cottage near to the city centre

Great location, very quiet and super warm and welcoming on coming through the front door

There were no bin liners, no black bags. I am sure it was just an oversight and we had an emergency no to call but didn’t want to disturb anyone so we used a supermarket bag we had. Stairs very steep and both bedrooms opened straight onto the stairs so a bit trachorous but night lights were plugged in so it was a recognised risk. It all added to the experience and character of the house

Lovely cottage in a perfect location. Quiet. Easy walk to food, drinks, shopping, cathedral, city wall, etc.

The stairs were fine for us but they are VERY steep and narrow so not for folks with mobility issues. Also the bedroom doors open directly into the stairwell so maybe not for little kiddoes.

Beautiful house in the best location for exploring York. Great as a small family home but it would be perfect for a coup

Location was fantastic and we could walk everywhere. The house was just the right size for our family of 4 and was beautiful. It was extremely comfortable.

The heating was on high and we couldn’t turn it down. And as a dog friendly property it would have been nice to have a couple of dog bowls available and maybe spare poo bags.

Very quiet street. Comfortable and stylishly decorated in a classic fashion. It's even nicer than the pictures and gear value.

The cleaners were hovering outside at checkout and knocking on the door at checkout time on the dot. It was a little unnecessary.

It was easy to collect the keys, the house was wonderful the little decorative touches made this the best place we have stayed in, it was well placed for the city and the house was comfortable, warm and I will definitely book again

Great location…5 mins to shops & bars..15 min walk to The Shambles. Easy to book & access to property. Immaculate place to stay, very clean, everything in there you could poss want. Love the welcome pack, so helpful.

Great location, short distance to bus stops, sights, restaurants and shopping. Still in a very quiet area.

It would be great to have two set of keys, as we are three persons travelling together, but we do not do everything together so having the chance to move separately would be much bettet. Also we missed having a place near the main door for shoes and jackets.

Fantastic Cottage

Beautiful Cottage, had all the ModCons and a beautiful little hamper on arrival with tea and coffee etc. To get you started which was a lovely touch. Compfy beds and setting and plenty of storage. Great location for the city, sights and train station. Quiet street and very well looked after. Slept very well. Stay York kept in touch prior to check In, which was reassuring and check in details were as stated and easy

Curtains, beautiful as they were, in the front bedroom, were not blackout and let in the morning light. If you wake with the sunrise, this won't be a problem. At night time, it was perfect, as no light came in from the street.

The house, decor, cleanliness. Ideally situated for local attractions & very quiet. Great communications & info. Appreciated the welcome hamper.

Kitchen could do with a salad bowl & a couple of serving dishes. Perhaps more loo rolls & washing up tabs. A few more hangers in the wardrobe & a lightweight bed cover for when a duvet is too hot.

A cute little 2 level townhouse that feels like a cottage with modern amenities and close to town and train station.

10 mins from train station and old town, very quite neighbourhood, kitchen, laundry, comfortable living room with good tv access and own bedrooms

1. water pressure and temperature setting were off: the bathroom’s shower water pressure was weak and the water was not hot enough while the opposite for the kitchen’s as it was very hot that almost burned my hands. 2. the toilet was not flushing fully. We had to flush a few times to clear the toilet which was annoying.
