Great little house in the centre of York. Stayed for 2 nights with friends and the house was ideal for us, it had everything we needed and the facilities were great. Free parking and a 5 minute walk into York, couldn't ask for anything else. Thank you!

Excellent location to access the town centre in a short walk. Located on a quiet street so no noise at night. Excellent parking right outside the house. House very clean inside - kitchen also well equipped. Hot weather and host kindly left a fan and window open for when we arrived - thank you! Host was fantastic - we had a small issue with some wear and tear and the host messaged immediately and sorted it out. This was really appreciated.

Overall the property was amazing - just a few things that were purely our preferences that we felt might just be helpful for others to be aware of (but this did not take away from the stay and we would absolutely stay again) - curtains very thin so meant that it was tricky to sleep in summer - little outside area was lovely to sit in but felt a bit unloved - could be a wonderful area. - as property is old Victorian house, stairs are very steep so it’s just worth being mindful for children and people who may find this tricky. - bathroom is downstairs off the lounge with a little step from the shower - again just useful to know.

Location very good, quiet, & convenient to walk round the city. Good to have tea, coffee etc in the house. Beds comfortable. 1 parking space so 2 of us came by train.

The long-pile rug in lounge was old & 'manky' & looked full of germs. Shocked to find the dirty dustpan & brush inside the washing up bowl!! Poor lighting. Ants in lounge. Bathroom downstairs down very steep stairs. Some damp issues in bathroom & dining area. In spite of us stressing twice to give us keycode by text or phone, we had to wait 3 1/2 hrs before we were able to get wi-fi to get owners email giving us keycode to access, so we got very wet! Got answerphone when tried to ring owner. Furnishings v dated, poor quality & needed replacing. Not our style but we booked because of good reviews!? Disappointed.
