Residenza Donini in Venice Suite 1

We stayed in this apartment in Venice for 4 nights with my two teenage kids, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms — perfect for our family of three. The living room was cozy, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We also had a lovely view from the window. What really stood out was having 2 air conditioning units. Since we visited in August, this made a huge difference in our comfort during the heat - something we truly appreciated. The location is excellent - very close to many of Venice's main attractions. We ended up walking almost everywhere during our stay, which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. Finally, our host Francesca was wonderful. She was very responsive and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier and check out later since we had a late flight. That flexibility made our trip much less stressful. Overall, a great stay - highly recommended for families visiting Venice!

Nothing. Everything was fine. One small thing to note: the apartment is located on an upper floor with no elevator, so it's worth keeping in mind if you have heavy luggage or if climbing stairs might be difficult for anyone in your group. It wasn't a problem for us, just something useful to know in advance.

The apartment was exactly as described and very comfortable and charming. We especially loved the location in Castello, which felt authentic and residential while still being just a short walk from major attractions like St. Mark’s Square, vaporetto stops, and many neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores, and local artisan shops. The layout worked perfectly for our family. Our teenage daughters appreciated having their own twin beds, a bathroom to share, and their own space on the opposite side of the apartment from our master bedroom. The views from the twin bedroom and the kitchen are truly special—we enjoyed looking out over the rooftops and down into the neighboring garden. The air conditioning worked very well, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean and exactly as presented. We also appreciated that the owners live in the building and were readily available if needed.

No complaints. l would definitely choose this apartment again!

Francesca is a wonderful host. She helped us with any questions and information on arrival and during the entire stay. The location is very good, calm but close to all points of interest. Everything there you need for a pleasant stay with family or friends.
