AVOID THIS PROPERTY , unhygienic, unhealthy and and no one is there too communicate

Very poor experience I have never seen anything like that, when I arrive at the property, property was very dirty , someone left the breakfasts the plate in the microwave and it was very smelly. Floor wasn’t clean either, I was trying to call and contact the host so many times , no response, then I have contacted Booking.com and explained to them, they have tried to contact the host as well and they have failed too. I’m a very regular traveler across Europe for business, this is the first time I have experience something what is unimaginable, I would contact the legal authority too to make a complaint as they shouldn’t put pic out on the advertisement and neglected the guest once guest been paid . Also there pile of bin bags left just outside kitchen door and was stinking . My impression is those are the owner or management of the property they are just making money by falsifying the description. AVOID THIS PROPERTY would my advice.

Where do I start! Walked in and found dust everywhere. By the tv. The coffee table looked as if someone had used a dirty rag over it. Go to kitchen cupboard under sink. It fell off. My husband repaired it. Only one glass. Go to put clothes in wardrobe and the door was swaying on one hinge. Again husband repaired it best he could. There were several black bags in the so called garden and we saw rats by them. In the tv room/lounge we were overlooked by people in the houses at the back of us as the curtains did not pull together at all. Had to get a clothes peg to keep them together. Got hold of Eskdale property / lettings agent via booking.com and they apologised for inconvenience and said they’d reimburse us with a 20% discount. As yet haven’t heard from them.

Disappointing

There were no heaters or hot water in the house as the bubble was not working so the garbage was all accumulated in the outside area there was a lot of garbage. we had to buy electric heaters due to the cold and nobody in the house answered us

it needs a lot of updating

the beds in the two bedrooms were comfortable and clean linen

there was cobwebs on the light sheds and the walls , when we got there there was a strange smell we had to go out for air freshener there was no hair dryer as it did state this , no ironing board or iron

The property was clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable. Good on street free parking. The area was very central and the property was on a very quiet street.

Only a couple of things were missing which I felt were needed. No bin in the kitchen, no bath mat for the tiled bathroom floor.
