Apartments with everything you need including a good night sleep and attentive hosts x

Great location as walking distance to town, very comfy beds, good range of facilities from dishwasher to cooking utensils, plenty of seating in living room, easy parking and a host that was very quick to respond when we had a shortage of toilet paper! Definitely recommend these apartments and the bonus of Darlington being a very friendly town to visit made our weekend.

Superbly equipped, 2 nice double bedrooms en-suite. Helpful hosts. Dedicated parking around the back (quite tight though). Interesting decor throughout.

Dishonest owners and definitely not 'Exquisite'.

Had we been able to stay in any of the apartments we might be able to comment.

There were many elements of this non-stay that were not ideal, but the way we were spoken to and treated by the owners felt personal and was unpleasant. I travelled with my wife and young son 180 miles for a sports tournament nearby and so booked to stay here. After a slight delay getting into the property (the original codes sent to us didn't work) we were met with a reasonable apartment, however there was staining (red, white and a clear damp patch) across every cushion on the sofa. There was nowhere else to sit so we looked for a throw to put over the sofa but couldn't find anything. I phoned the owner, firstly to make them aware, but to see if there was another apartment as we had nowhere to sit. In a short phone call, I was told that they didn't think there was another apartment available and could I send pictures. I did, and the follow-up phone call conceded the sofa was stained. We were told to cancel on booking.com as there were no other apartments and assured we would receive a full refund. When I went to cancel I noticed the cancellation said would be liable for the entire cost so I contacted booking.com to explain. They contacted me back and told me the owner was refusing the refund. I then contacted the owner a bit confused and had an awful phone call. I was told by the owner that he refused my refund (although admitted that his wife had offered us one), that I had complained about everything, and that I was a troublemaker that never intended staying. I made the point that you don't travel 180 miles and go into a place you have booked if you don't intend staying, and that I hadn't complained about anything other than the sofa. After this distressing phone call I contacted booking.com one more time. They were fantastic. They not only empathised, but showed concern about how we were treated, and they offered a generous part refund.

It was beautiful. Great place all round. Did have some issues at first as was gave wrong information but this was resolved quickly and would 100% recommend to anyone.
