Check-in and check-out were quick and contactless; I received the lockbox code on the morning of my stay. The location is excellent; less than 10 minutes' walk from the station, but quiet and tucked away off the main road. The hosts provide tea and coffee facilities (but no milk), toiletries, tableware, cutlery, and ample bedding and towels. The bed is comfy, I enjoyed my bath, and there is a spacious garden and lounge and a TV with the main streaming apps.

There's a welcome folder, but the information doesn't match the property, so the Wi-Fi network it mentions doesn't exist (instead, see the underside of the router in the living room) and the instructions for the shower don't apply to this bathroom (be prepared to have a bath instead). There are no curtains anywhere, just vertical blinds, so a lot of light gets in to the bedrooms in the mornings. If there was a hairdryer, I couldn't find it. The place has been cleaned in a cursory way (fresh sheets and towels) but is a bit cobwebbed and would benefit from more attention especially in the kitchen.

Clean and well maintained, had everything we needed. Quiet location just out of town and away from main road. Gated and secure off road parking was good.

Decor and size. Was close to town and shops/ take aways. Having a garden is good. Bed comfy, pillows good. Parking available Good wi fi Welcome book was useful

Carpets throughout, sofas and kitchen need a really good clean. The place could be amazing if they weren't dirty. The oven was filthy. Didn't cook as kitchen is dirty, fridge and freezer need cleaning. Tiles and cupboards need cleaning. I suggest a deep clean then you'd have a winner. Couldn't have a bath only a shower as couldn't get the water to go into the bath. Seems to be a lever missing. WiFi details need updating in welcome book

Was good for the family

The shower was off the taps which was not ideal for the kids, heating was on through the night but off through the day which resulted in the kids not sleeping properly, finally there was no recycling bin which means I had to leave bags of recycling
