Excellent Stay

I had an amazing stay and couldn’t recommend this place enough. The space was spotless, beautifully set up, and felt very welcoming from the moment I arrived. The location was perfect and close to everything I needed, yet still peaceful and comfortable. The host was friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience effortless. Everything was exactly as described (if not better), and I truly felt at home during my stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free Airbnb experience.

EXCEPTIONAL!

Chris was so accommodating and helpful during our stay. We were living at the property for 6 weeks during a work trip and it couldn't have been any better. It felt like a home away from home especially during the festive period. The location was perfect for getting into town and parking was available outside the property. I couldn't recommend this property enough and it was such a pleasure to live in a beautiful, comfortable and well kept house. Big shout out to Chris for being the most wonderful Landlord / Host - thank you for everything!

Cleanliness. Efficient shower. Location - 10 minutes walk to train station. 15 minutes approx to town centre. Quiet location.

As someone who is only 4ft 10in I could only reach first shelf of cupboards. - had to drink wine out of beer glass etc.

Quite a value for money stay for site seeing in Durham and surrounding.

The location is just minutes walk from the train station and is very convenient. The bedrooms are neat and tidy.

It does not have a dishwasher and hair dryer, the washing machine does not work.

Nice place as always, few things not up to the usual standard but still overall nice stay.

Some pans and plates weren’t clean. Also there’s only a bread knife to cut with, makes it difficult for certain items. Would suggest provide a bit more to help.

Cosy, spotless, amazing shower, quiet, convenient

Really lovely property. Nice area. We messaged the host about additional towels and they personally brought some within 10 minutes! The garden was awesome, perfect for summer time. The owners clearly take pride in the property and making their guests feel catered to. Thank you!

The shower was off the taps which was not ideal for the kids, heating was on through the night but off through the day which resulted in the kids not sleeping properly, finally there was no recycling bin which means I had to leave bags of recycling

Apart from the two complaints eveything else was fine and we enjoyed our two night stay.

The location was good for the Hippodrome. Car parking on site. Overall the property was clean and comfortable.

Although the property was clean , the oven was not. After we put the oven on to heat up when we opened the oven door there was lots of smoke from the dirty oven and oven shelves We had to clean the oven and the metal shelves. It took two pads to clean it. The bath taps were loose and the wash-hand basin stopper would not plug into the basin.

Weekend away.

We liked that we could park securely on the back. The kitchen was lovely and had lots extras like tea and coffee. The beds were very comfy and my teenager commented that he didn't want to get up because he was so comfy.

The fact that there were no curtains only blinds. It was light around 4.30 am so that's when we woke. I think there should be curtains in the bedrooms at least. There was some black mould in the shower that needs bleaching and also on the shower wall. This did come off when I rubbed it with a cloth.

A great place to stay

Very clean and homely, the parking facilities were good. The kitchen was fully equipped.

The bathroom did not have a lock. We were a family of 4, and we only had 2 toilet rolls and a limited amount of kitchen roll.

Very good; price key as was more economical compared to a two night stay in local budget hotel.

Space and facilities compared booking a hotel like Premier Inn. Comfortable beds and a very good over bath shower. like the facility to park car securely.

Compared to a recent similar stay at a property not far; it could benefit from a few little touches which would benefit the property; for example having cleaning spray and cloths for kitchen; pegs to hang clothes / towels to dry outside on a line or to secure to clothes airer outside. cling film/foil in kitchen drawers etc for use.

Simply cozy and homely.

I loved staying at this property. Everything was so tidy which made us feel very comfortable the moment we walked in. I have only good memories about the property. When we are away from home we look for place where it's welcoming and cozy. We look for the same comfort that we might get from our own home and this place was like that. The kitchen was superb. The shower was great. Everything was functioning. The living room and dining room are very open, airy and bright. Only few mins from the train station and city center. Really had a good stay.

Even though the kitchen was fantastic and I was so looking forward to cook I struggled with the pots and pans available there. I think adding few more pots and pans with right size lids would give guests good experience if they are cooking.

It was dirty. There was crisps left from the previous people in the kitchen cupboards and ice in the freezer the freezer was filthy bathroom floor had hairs on the patio windows had kids finer prints all over bathroom pull cord filthy the cleaner had a attitude when she came to sort out the filth and said she couldn’t see a problem well the photos tell a different story. shame really cause it’s a nice wee house
