Not what you expect ..

I liked it was big enough for us and was close to where we had to go, had good heaters

On first impression when you walk in its nice ,but in it an hour you see door handles falling off ,towels were damp and placed in rooms ,hairs on bedding and hairs on couch ,stuff left in dish washer spoons in drawer were dirty and the beds were due snapping by the sounds of it and the plate under the mattress was just disgusting.

The location is excellent to Darlington town centre

Rather disappointed after having stayed before. The previous apartment was excellent which made us book again. This one was tired looking and in need of deep clean/paint. The set up of the kitchen sofa area really wasn’t great. Squeeky floorboards in kitchen which were difficult to avoid. Tiny sofa badly placed. Tv too high on wall giving us a neck ache. No idea of WiFi password until we messaged staff. Rather disappointed to be honest. 😢

Great apartment with terrible beds

Really well-appointed apartment in a very attractive period building (former Salvation Army headquarters) close to Darlington Town Centre, with free on-street parking round the back. Lovely bathroom with a good shower.

Badly let down by the quality of the mattresses (terrible) which, sadly, made it very difficult to sleep. Such a shame because all the other facilities were great.

Modern, clean, good location, if you don't need an iron!

It was just a place to sleep for a business meeting/night out in Darlington so only used the beds but it seemed well equipped, tidy, clean, modern. Great little real ale pub just along the road too.

Accommodation is great itself... stench of cannabis vile

The apartment was lovely clean, modern and had everything needed.

The door to the apartment was unlocked and open on our arrival, and didnt close properly meaning you had to physically pull the door handle to shut the door, the door know was so close to the frame I injured my hand closing the door twice. The horror smell of cannabis on the bottom floor meant I had to move my 11 year old son up to our from our apartment to sleep in our friend's room on her sofa on the 3rd floor.

Apartment at the back was quiet and very comfortable.

Apartment very clean and comfortable. Well equipped for self-catering although we made very little use of the equipment. Our twin-bed apartment was on the ground floor at the back and was very quiet - rooms at the front could have been noisy as Northgate is a very busy road.

We could not make the television work. I called the office and was advised that it was controlled through an app but we still couldn't fathom out how to make it work - quite a disappointment. The click-clack valve in the bathroom washbasin leaked and it was necessary to keep the tap running when washing and wet-shaving - what a waste of hot water!

No wifi and an incredibly uncomfortable bed

The apartment was clean and kitchen had good facilities

There was NO wifi available. The tv had wifi but not even basic channels and whilst there was a router there was no information about it or the password so couldn’t be used! The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever tried to sleep on.

The beds in this particular apartment were extremely uncomfortable with springs poking through the cheap mattress. I have stayed previously in one of the other apartments on this property with comfortable beds so the issue seems to be with this apartment.

Well decided and clean

Having spent considerable money on the rooms, it is crazy to buy a cheap uncomfortable bed which felt like a bag of springs.

Very pleasant, great shower!

Best bits: host contact was quick, the apartment was clean and well kitted out, but by far the best thing was the awesome shower!

Less good: some niggles such as: uncomfortable pillows (but concede this personal taste), the tv needs looking at (when connected to internet, you can open Netflix etc, but it will not play anything- same with all tv apps).

The apartment was clean and well looked after.

Confusing switches on the wall for the fridge and cooker hood. Black switches on a dark green wall that weren't labelled. The bottle opener was broken as was serving plastic serving spoon.

Location Was Good. Adequate For Use

Dirty, marks that looked like bogeys over the bedroom walls, sheets smelt like male deodorant meaning possibly not cleaned, made me suffer with bad breathing and I never suffer with that. Every other apartment occcupant was loud with stomping around, slamming doors constantly after 2 in the morning. Was not a relaxing stay at all and left all of us in bad feelings.

I will not book any service apartment from booking.com after this experience.

The location is good.

The main entrance (no photo is showed on Booking.com) is not obvious at all. It is just inside a small gap in between 2 buildings. And there are pretty much of rubbish on the ground. I just got the door code around 10am on the day we checked in. When we arrived, I found the door code for the main entrance is the same as our apartment. That means everyone inside the property can access into our apartment. This is something wrong when security for our apartment is concerned. When we get into our apartment, we found the ventilation is really bad, we have to open all the windows (all in the living room and bed rooms) but it just help a bit. We would like to use electric fan, but there is only one in the store room, while we have 2 bed rooms, i.e. there is no electric fan for one of the room when we slept in the night time. From booking.com, we understand toiletries are provided, but in fact, only hand wash is provided, nothing for shower. The dining chairs are also not in good condition. the legs of the chairs are loosened on 3 out of 4 dining chairs. They look so unsafe. From Booking.com, we cannot see requirement for Damage Deposit. After we booked the room in the Booking.com., I found that we were asked for pound sterling 100 as the damage deposit and it will be refunded after we checked out. pound sterling 100 seems too much for a damage deposit and I only got this refunded 3 days after we checked out. ie. if we don't pay the damage deposit before we checked in, I believe we will not be provide a door code for the property.

We all had a lovely stay.

The property was modern & spotless. It was very central to the town centre. Beds were really comfortable. There was absolutely everything you need in the apartment, & very spacious.

The only thing I would say is that the top floor bedroom was really warm, we stayed in apartment 14.

Great find in central Darlington

Weekend away to watch BTCC at croft circuit. Normally stay at the usual P Inn or Tlodge but thought we'd give this a go as the price was good and location too. Parking was super easy, as was entry with the code provided. The accommodation itself was excellent with a large kitchen, shower/toilet and twin bedroom. Considering its central location we got a great nights sleep and would thoroughly recommend this for anyone needing to stay in this neck of the woods. Would not hesitate to stay here again. 👍

Lovely comfortable stay just unfortunate where the bin cupboard is located.

It was lovely place to stay, very clean & quiet!

Couple of downsides but I would stay again so first was as soon as you walk into building all you can smell is the bin cupboard (apartments smell lovely) & then the windows in the top bedroom don’t open which wasn’t great when it was very warm, there were fans provided but it didn’t help for the heat in the top bedroom.

The fact that the floor was peeling off/rising in some parts, additionally, there's simply one oddly angled TV that's an adequate size, not too much of an issue though. Also, there were handprints everywhere and when I arrived there were crumbs all over the couch. One of the lights when you enter was flickering. Also, the soap provided made my hands extremely dry.

Location was central. Apartment was clean and bathroom and shower were fantastic. Bed comfortable and well made. Coffee and tea facilities much appreciated. Would stay again.

Fantastic stay, we stayed for work and the place was super clean, the cleanest apartment I've ever stayed in. Access was easy, just make sure the front door of the building is pushed closed. We are booked to stay again soon and I'll be using this apartment when travelling to the area for work again. Highly recommend.

Spacious and clean, everything appeared new. Good value for money.

There was no heating on, some windows open on arrival and the place was absolutely freezing, tried to contact host as to how to turn the heating in and they did not respond to phone calls or email. Finally worked out how to turn on. Took a couple of hours to warm up so we all had to sit in our coats. Location wise the apartments are over a bar which I was unaware of so Thursday evening was fine as it was closed, but Friday was a techno Niigata and the music, noise etc was really loud until early hours.. Saturday was also really loud music etc. had I been aware it was over a bar I would definitely not stayed.

Lovely, quiet apartment, with everything you need

The property was lovely, perfect for the 4 of us. We arrived late but access was no problem. We will definitely use again and recommend to others

We liked everything, the only thing I would say and it’s just for information to others, the property was a bit further from the train station than we realised, so rather then walk in the future, we would jump in a taxi but really not a problem.

Great property, this is the second time I have stayed here although we were in a bigger flat before.

Location great, easy walk to shops and eateries. Long stay car park available within 500 yards of back entrance and free parking for 2 hours just outside back. We were on ground floor and had no problems with noise.

Sofa wasn't the most comfortable or biggest on the other hand dining table huge takes up a bit to much space in the kitchen. Neither of these affected our stay though
