Disappointed

Lovely building / location, close to hospital, regular buses and shops

Not realising we were staying in someone’s spare bedroom! Mould on ceiling in bathroom, very strong smell of owners cooking that made me nauseous, unaware the apartment was shared with owners. No smoke alarm in room, crack and chip in mug, no lighting in first part of corridor from foyer, light in room not working, no ‘shared kitchen’ as advertised on his website and booking.com customers charged £5 more than advertised on his website for a pet🙈

A little disappointing but adequate for our 2 night stay.

No breakfast provided. Location was ideal for our purposes. Also close to bus services. Room was comfortable with a large sofa.

Some maintenance required. Lighting in corridor leading to accommodation intermittent. One light in room not working. Shower temperature control too stiff to move (particularly with wet hands)! Wash basin plug also stiff. Despite extra instructions from the owner we were unable to get the towel rail to heat nor were we able to get programmes on the tv.

Carpets need a good clean Black mould all around the shower tray and door surrounds Double bed good for one but 2 people just end up in the middle Shower was only just warm the 2nd morning Thin curtains, early wake-up call

Nice overnight stop

Good location. Very clean and comfortable. We used as an overnight stop and would do so again.

Advertised as 'with fridge' but it is a tiny cold storage unit. Pretty useless really. Bathroom mats move and become a trip hazard very easily. I had to move the pedestal mat as my husband tripped on it. (He wasn't hurt).

Being rang and told I’d not left the keys when I had and getting text to say I’d have to pay a damage charge. This was thankfully resolved quickly and owner apologised but this could have been avoided.

Cheap, cheerful but actually comfortable

Parking space , had somewhere to sit as well as a bed, decent layout and size for me and my dog to stay the night for work. Bathroom clean and shower great, tv didn’t work properly but irrelevant to me as I had my Laptop. Price was very good for the accomodation,

Great property. Easy instructions to get in. Brilliantly spacious room with beautiful en-suite. Perfect location for easy access and a pleasant a walk around local neighbourhood with ideal parking. It was also utterly silent through the night. An amazing find. 10/10.

Very nice room and hosts very friendly.

The room is very good value with a good outlook into the garden. The bathroom looks new and is very clean with a good shower.

The bed is crammed very near to a chest of drawers and would be easier to navigate without a footboard. Although there were spare pillow they could do with replacing and with pillow cases.

To be honest I prefer hotel as felt uncomfortable sharing with the owner I’ll stick to hotels just what I’m used to

It was very disappointing, it was not mentioned that this was a SHARED FLAT, with the the owner.

It was a nice room, however I must advise and stress that this is SHARED ACCOMIDATION! It is a 2 bed ground floor flat. One room is rented to you, which does have an en suite and the occupant of the flat stays in the other room next door. The kitchen and living room are shared. You are sharing a flat with the other person living there. This was not advised in the advertisement of this room and was not what we were looking for. To anyone else booking this please be advised this is a SHARED FLAT, SHARED ACCOMIDATION AND FACILITIES! Shared with someone who lives there! Wouldn't recommend, unless your looking for shared accommodation. This should be stated clearly in the advert for this room!

This is SHARED ACCOMIDATION. It is a 2 bed ground floor flat. One room is rented to you, which does have an en suite and the occupant of the flat stays in the other room next door, in the same flat. The kitchen and living room are shared. You are sharing a flat with the other person who lives there. He is just renting out one of the rooms in the flat. This was not advised in the advertisement of this room and was not what we were looking for! To anyone else booking this please be advised this is a SHARED FLAT, SHARED ACCOMIDATION AND SHARED FACILITIES! Shared with someone who lives there! The bathroom also has no floor, I'm guessing due to the leaking of the bathroom through onto the carpet in the bedroom. As the floor was wet through previously and wouldn't dry out, causing damage to the rooms. Damage which you can clearly see has been there for a while too, with the wood rotting, damp and mold. Wouldn't recommend, unless your looking for shared accommodation. This should be stated clearly in the advert for this room!

Good , quite location. Ideal for what we needed as a base to go in and out of Darligton. Comfortable room. Host was very pleasant and on hand if we needed anything.

The booking process did not make it clear that the self-contained room was still within the ownwer's flat. Not a problem for us but might not suit everyone.

Way above my expectations for the price.

Everything I could want for a comfortable stay. Very pleasing modern decor, exceptionally comfy bed, en suite & access to kitchen & fridge space. The room was only a short distance from the car park which was a great help after a long drive. No long corridors or noisy neighbors a boon for a disabled driver like myself. A warm welcome from the host for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. Highly recommended.

The en-suite facility was spotless with powerful shower & toiletries provided. A very minor disappointment was the flooring as it wasn’t as up market as all the other fixtures & fittings. Perfectly adequate for one night. Only mentioned as nothing else to improve in such a well appointed room.

The place is stunning, serene, and clean. Facilities exceeded the cost. Homely and cordial. Very secure gated enclosure. I recommend to anyone looking where to stay. Will not hesitate to stay there again. Lovely gentleman in charge.
