This is our 2nd stay at Steve and Viv’s place. It’s making how spacious the layout feels. Downstairs is open plan which really opens up the feel of the property. It was December when we visited, but the house was cozy and warm night and day. Christmas decorations and lighting was a great touch. Tea, coffee and milk were provided and a small supermarket is only a short walk away. Whilst parking on the street is not free, we always found a space a couple of streets away where free parking is 24/7.
Both bedrooms were very comfortable. The addition of a Jack and Jill shower room upstairs as well as the downstairs bathroom is a definite plus, especially when travelling with teenagers!
Steve and Viv are very attentive hosts and always contactable. For a small fee, we were able to check in early which as a bonus.

Coffee, tea bags and sugar but no milk
Toiletries in bathrooms
Walk in shower out of use - not good as we are unable to step in and out of a bath where 2nd shower was
Iron not working - nuisance as we were there for a family funeral and had shirts etc to press.
Main headboard broken and black tape on other spindles of it.
Having to ask for heating to be altered as owners have control.
Shower screen in downstairs bathroom didn't stay in place when our son used it so water went on the floor
Noisy boiler that came on and off through the night which woke us up as is in main bedroom
