Excellent location Very comfortable beds Plenty of storage Spacious Coffee, tea bags and sugar but no milk Toiletries in bathrooms

Walk in shower out of use - not good as we are unable to step in and out of a bath where 2nd shower was Iron not working - nuisance as we were there for a family funeral and had shirts etc to press. Main headboard broken and black tape on other spindles of it. Having to ask for heating to be altered as owners have control. Shower screen in downstairs bathroom didn't stay in place when our son used it so water went on the floor Noisy boiler that came on and off through the night which woke us up as is in main bedroom

Cozy property centrally located, in a quiet location. Great value for money.

This is our 2nd stay at Steve and Viv’s place. It’s making how spacious the layout feels. Downstairs is open plan which really opens up the feel of the property. It was December when we visited, but the house was cozy and warm night and day. Christmas decorations and lighting was a great touch. Tea, coffee and milk were provided and a small supermarket is only a short walk away. Whilst parking on the street is not free, we always found a space a couple of streets away where free parking is 24/7. Both bedrooms were very comfortable. The addition of a Jack and Jill shower room upstairs as well as the downstairs bathroom is a definite plus, especially when travelling with teenagers! Steve and Viv are very attentive hosts and always contactable. For a small fee, we were able to check in early which as a bonus.

When we reported a problem the response was not as good as I would have anticipated. Fortunately the problem only inconvenienced our stay, but if we didn't have the knowledge to temporarily repair the fault it could have been a serious issue. I would suggest a contact number for emergencies left in the property with the visitors book would be helpful.

Wouldn't stay again

Owners responded quickly and fixed the door handle the next day but had a feeling of they were maximising profit before taking consideration to guests comfort with other elements within the house.

1.Previous guests kitchen rubbish / recycling not cleared from garden upon arrival and was asked to move it 2. Inside door handle was lying on the floor when first opening the door on 1st day 3. Window blinds do not fully close leaving 3 to 6 inches gap in bedrooms and living room so outside can fully see in so no privacy or curtains 4. Oven stained inside with grease 5. Car parking outside in the street is pay and display which wasn't mentioned beforehand or in the guest book at the property. 6. Not enough chairs or sofas to accommodate 4 people in living room only 1 two seater and an armchair

Sweet little house

Kitchen and bathrooms clean and tidy. Plenty of cooking equipment. Beds comfortable and clean. Rain head shower upstairs and bath with over shower downstairs. Staircase very steep so maybe not too good for the less mobile - maybe swap sofa for sofa bed? Overall a good 5-night stay inside the house.

Parking wasn't easy but that's just the area. Couldn't get shower to work downstairs but shower upstairs made up for it. Back yard could do with a makeover. We weren't able to sit out because bin was overflowing from previous guests and the smell was attracting loads of flies. Shouldn't be new guests' responsibility to put bins out for collection.

Perfect house in great location

House was perfect! Spacious, spotlessly clean with everything you could need. It was in a perfect, quiet location only a couple of minutes walk from the town. Owners were very helpful before our visit. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay

A home away from home. Lovely home in a quiet area,lots of space and very close to local amenities. Big thanks to Ste and Viv for letting us stop in your wonderful home.We will definitely be back here again!! And the upstairs shower was fantastic
