Lovely stay

It was great value for money having two big bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. Location was very walkable to everything and a tram went outside to town. Stefan was very helpful with recommendations and advising how to check in.

Worth noting there’s no shower gel/shampoo so make sure you bring some (there was a Carrefour a short walk away for provisions) and there was no tv either but that’s a good thing as best to be out and about to explore.

Great price, staff and location.

Excellent location, tram stop literally 50 metres from the door. The staff were great, Stefan the owner was in contact via WhatsApp to suggest some stuff to do and restaurants and attractions to visit although we already had plans. He also made a point of coming to have a chat with us before we made our way out for the day. It’s a quirky little place, actually located within a little cafe that you are given the keys to. The decor is really nice and clean, and the 2 separate rooms we had both came with fans, spare bedding and a nice big clean shower and toilet. The fridge and tea/coffee facilities were also located in the cafe rather than the rooms which was fine for us. Nice little garden at the back of the cafe too for anyone wanting to use it.

Whilst it didn’t make any difference to us, I would note that the rooms are located upstairs and may not be suitable for anyone who isn’t the most mobile.

This was a very nice experience overall. A place where we felt at home and well cared for.

The place has a strong personal touch with a rustic feel and lovely decorations, making it super cosy and welcoming. The rooms were very spacious. The host was super helpful providing lots of tips. We enjoyed the fresh and tasty breakfast very much, including a really good cup of coffee.

Amazing accommodation in Antwerp !!!

Great room in Antwerp located over a cafe and bakery. Located in a very charming old building decorated with antique furniture. Very large room, it was just me staying on my own, but there was also a separate bedroom with 3 single beds in addition to the main bedroom with a double bed. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Perfect location to explore Antwerp by foot and there is also a tram right out front that takes you directly to the historic centre. Only 10 to 15 minutes walk to central station as well.

Charming apartment for a visit to Antwerp

We loved the unique experience of staying above a bakery/cafe! The place was so charming, cozy, and the staff were so lovely. Location was very convenient, we love to walk so we walked everywhere from here but it looked like the place was close to public transit too. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast while staying here :)

Upstairs of a bakery

Excellent location. Quaint, charming house full of character. Beautiful garden for our private use in the evening. Host very friendly and informative. Very tasty (yet expensive) breakfast.

Cozy

The rooms are large and spacious, the beds are quite comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and clean. The decoration is old but very well kept, it looks like an old cottage. The furniture is quite old (except for the bathroom), but it gives it a cosy touch. The kindness of Stefan, we had an emergency and he gave us his support. And the location, it is close to several tram lines, buses, and Antwerp central station. One thing to note is that there is no lift - which is to be expected as it is an old building. We stayed on the second floor and had to carry our suitcases upstairs. I don't put this down as a bad thing but it should be noted.

A few metres away there is a bar and in the early hours of the morning you could hear a lot of noise from people going out, shouting and talking loudly. Fortunately it was only for a short while. There was no shampoo or shower gel, something that is usually available everywhere.

Little gem in Antwerp!

Stefan is a fantastic host! Loved the rooms and the place! Very good location, a very clean and beautiful place. Plus there's the bonus of the freshest bread and pastries - a bakery serving the whole area is located on the first floor.

We had a very warm and friendly welcome. The location is very pretty and charming. Breakfast served in the tiny garden really made our day start in the most peaceful way. Even some birds came to say hi! We loved it! The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Had we stayed longer in Antwerp, we would most likely have visited all the places we got told by them. The beds are very comfortable and made us sleep like babies.

Not recommended for elderly people for the staircase is quite steep.

The contact with the host before and during the stay, the cosiness and style of the house and the possibily to enjoy the dining room and the wonderful outside terrace. The situation, not directly in the centre but very convenient to visit different places like the KMSKA. The homemade breakfast / lunch.

Exceptional

Welcomed so warmly by Stefan and his family/staff into this charming and spacious lodging. It's located close to Antwerp-Berchem and walkable from all the main attractions (within 1.5 kms). With just a few rooms, it was quiet and private, kept really clean and stocked with sufficient water and tea! I would try and stay here again if I returned to Antwerp!

We had some trouble with WiFi in the rooms, intermittently. We could use it downstairs in the cafe, though, so we didn't mind as much!

Nice owner, yummy breakfast and a very cozy bedroom. Everything was very clean. About 20min walk to the city center. Recommend the Libanese restaurant „Felfel“ right across the street.

Convenient place to stay in central Antwerp

Very large rooms, bed was comfortable. Cafe downstairs was very tasty and you could help yourself to a variety of different tea bags. Nice little terraced garden. Great location, only a 5-10 minutes walk to some great shopping streets. Lots of communication from the owner with recommendations and information about parking/check in.

The toilet in our bathroom was surprisingly high (I'm 5ft 7" and my feet couldn't touch the floor). Towels were a little tired but still useable and clean so wasn't an issue for us.

Little gem in Antwerp. Recommended!

Me and my dad were looking for a place to rest on our journey, at short notice. The host was very responsive, and kindly helped us find parking in a very busy inner city, and let us settle into the accommodation, which was pleasant and comfortable, with refreshments provided upon our arrival. Pity we did not have more time to enjoy the accommodation and its excellent location within Antwerp. Many thanks to the staff!

Tasteful stay above bio bakery

Nice rooms (we could use 2), tastefully furnished. Bio breakfast a la carte. Walking distance to Grote Markt. Otherwise bikes to loan are available opposite the hotel! Superfriendly host with loads of tips for our visit to Antwerp.

I loved the location; beautiful green garden and a lovely bakery. The room was super pretty and big for a good price. The bed was super comfy and loved the shower. Stefan was very kind and helpful.
