Perfect location and fabulous property and hosts.

The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make our visit to Thurso exceptional! The property is lovely, fabulous water views from the bedroom and breakfast area. I would highly recommend Westlea B&B and would definitely stay there again. Value for money 10/10!

Very friendly hosts, room was clean and well equipped. Lovely comfy bed and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Hosts also extremely helpful with a postal dilemma.

A great find!

The rooms were lovely and clean, and VERY comfortable! There were amazing views from our windows and thoughtful seating arrangements to best enjoy them when the weather cooperated.It was a gorgeous big house, fully occupied for the night, and I never did hear a sound from any of the other 3 rooms, or the proprietors family. As well, in each room there was a kettle with some goodies in the little drawers underneath-- coffee, tea, etc In the morning, we came down to a really yummy breakfast! There were a few different choices, things that could be added onto your order, and a side buffet of cereals and fruit. All of that, and only 5 minutes from the Scrabster ferry!

What didnt we like? That we were only there for one night!

Fantastic - one of the best places I've ever stayed.

The location is excellent - near the beach, with a great view across the ocean to the Orkney Islands. At the same time, everything in town was just a few blocks away. The owners/staff were awesome; friendly, offered helpful advice about things to do, and generally made us feel like we were at home for the 4 days we spent there. I'd stay here again without any hesitation.

Excellent stay in comfortable room

This was an excellent bed and breakfast located near the ferry terminal and within walking distance of many restaurants and the train station. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the water from the chairs in the bay window of our room. Breakfast was abundant and delicious and we were able to select between many options for the cooked breakfast. Everything we needed for our stay which was only for one night but we would have definitely been comfortable to stay in our room for multiple nights. Michael and Karen were wonderful hosts very helpful and friendly.

We would love to return

A very impressive house and beautifully kept. We had a huge bedroom with everything in it that we required and we could see Orkney and The Old Man of Hoy from our room. Karen and Michael went out of their way to be helpful and were the perfect hosts. Thank you and enjoy the chocolate!

Immaculate clean spacious room, with views to the Orkneys, in a beautiful home. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, with an excellent breakfast. It is all too tempting to rush on to the next destination, if you are doing the NC500, but there is a lot to see in the area, and we found one night was not enough.

Close to town and train station - very clean and welcoming. Karen and Michael are great hosts, offering a good breakfast with lots of choices and assistance with transport to the Scrabster ferry terminal (if it suits their day). We had a lovely room facing out to Orkney. Very clean.

Ideal for Scrabster ferry

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, warm and clean. The bed was comfortable; and though our room faced the main road we slept well as the traffic seemed very light overnight. Breakfast was enjoyable and included a choice of hot dishes selected the night before. There was no on site parking but there was ample free parking in an adjacent street. We stayed one night on the way to the Orkney ferry and would stay here again.
