3-day stay for business

This is 2 bedroom apartment in the attic, equipped kitchen, large fridge, big TV with Netflix, super close to the city center. Apartment has sofa, large bed and 2 small beds in the upper room. Good value for money. Host was super friendly and helped a lot.

A lot of narrow and steep stairs to reach the apartment - not suitable for old people and very young children. Constant smell of fried onions and curry in the staircase (still it was quite OK in the apartment). Small dining table.

Great location, clean and quiet.

The apartment was clean and spacious. It is located close to the center city.

The smell. I understand that this is an accommodation managed by a family and that they need to cook, but the species are very intense and they cook late at night. So my suggestion is to close the door to the kitchen. Also, bring more information to the platform about steps to check in.

For a great location a great place

Let's start with saying that I'm giving it a low mark that I explained later. However the place has a chance to be great if certain things been changed or improved. The flat was ample in size with lots of Windows and light. It almost overlooks to the city center which is great. Good TV with networks and a good sofa to sit on to watch them programs. The bed was very comfortable. We slept really well as there were almost no noise except occasional planes flying over in the morning. It's a very quiet and no noise at all place very near to the city center. There are two children's bed upstairs so if a family coming they have ample space to stay in. That brings me to the location which is absolutely fantastic and Central. The flat is at the top of the building on the 5th floor without lift. However it is not a problem at all if you do not have big luggage. Also that makes it very quiet we is a positive attribute.

Although the place has great potential but it falls through in quite few categories. Firstly it's a flat in a building which possibly owned and lived by the flat owner. As a result they treat it as theire home and it felt as we stepped into somebody's home and disrupting them. The top window was open but the staircase was not at all had any flow of wind which resulted in very strong smell. It was not harmful but really affects the senses. Will recommend using extractor fans so there is no smell on the staircase. The bathroom needs quite a bit of cleaning and TLC. I will recommend taking the bathtub off and putting a proper shower because mixing water was very hard and at times it was only hot or cold not mixed water. The bed was very comfortable. And the beddings were clean but did not feel at all fresh. I will highly recommend washing and ironing them so they feel not used even though we knew that they were clean and washed. The smell on the staircase and the bedding must be addressed. With small changes this place could be really really good. Overall the price we paid for one night was, based on staying in similar cities around Europe, we feel was unjustified. It could happen at least 30 to 40 euros less than what we paid for a night.

Great location downtown.

Karim met us at the door and showed us to the apartment. The space was already set up with two twin beds in the "loft" area, perfect for my kids. There was a small but adequate kitchen area, a comfy couch and a table with seating for 4. Lots of storage space in the main bedroom, and several heaters throughout the apartment. The bathroom had plenty of hot water. The apartment is at the top of a spiral staircase (2 floors) with no elevator. We had no issues, but it would be a problem with limited mobility. The stairs to the loft area are also very narrow and steep. Karim warned us the heaters would take a while to heat up (and they did!) but we were comfortable overnight and turned them off while we were out during the day. Close to several parking garages.

The part that holds the shower head on the wall was broken, which we reported to Karim. The shower was still usable, and had plenty of hot water, but it was more difficult to shower. It would have been nice to have control over the heaters. They seemed to be connected to wifi and we couldn't do anything other than turn them on/off.

This place is fantastic! The location is perfect. Close to the busy and trendy areas, the view from the window in the bedroom is gorgeous. Abdul was very kind and accommodating. Can't say enough great things about this property.

The location is very close to most important Brussels tourist sites and shops. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen has all appliances for a short holiday with a large fridge. A large television and good wi-fi. Comfortable sofa and double bed.

Wasn't a problem for us, but just be aware that the apartment is on the third floor and accessed by a narrow circular staircase. The bathroom could do with an update to include a walk-in shower.

The location is very close to center, bars & restaurants, supermarkets. The apartment offers two bedrooms: a master bedroom with a double bed and a small bedroom with two single beds (accesible by stairs from the main bedroom). The living/ dining room provides a large TV, a sofa and a table with 4 chairs. The kitchen has all appliances for a short holiday

The access to the apartment, on the third level, through a very narrow circular stair. The bathroom needs a little update. A door to the upper bedroom would be a good idea.

Overall I would say that I was very satisfied with the apartment.

The outside of the building looks like a slum to the extent that my wife said we are not going to stay here and started to look at other places on her phone. I convinced her to wait while I checked it for myself. There were so many stairs and no lift and I was thinking 'what have I done by booking this?' but the person who met me was nice and once I had got to the top of the stairs, the apartment was wonderful. It is in a perfect location and maybe a 3 minute walk to the shopping street and less than 15 minutes walk to the Grand Place. The apartment was very clean and very well appointed. The owner has thought about everything that you could need. It was very nice that he sent me the WiFi code by WhatsApp and he also called me to ask if everything was OK. If you book it, don't be alarmed when you arrive. Never judge a book by it's cover !!

The outside of the entrance of course needs to be completely refurbished. Shame about the number of stairs to get up there. That would be tough if you can't walk easily or if you have big luggage. I couldn't make the shower work but that is a quick fix and I'm sure it's already been fixed since two days ago because the owner seems to care about his guests.

- Easy to reach from the Brussels North station - Friendly host. For example, when we arrived earlier we had access to a waiting room, hour host secured our luggage and brought it upstairs when we returned. - Easy contact with host via Whatsapp. - Beds and matrass were good. - Two separate bedrooms. - Wi-Fi works well. - Only 15 minutes walk to reach te main square, 10 minutes walk to reach te main shopping area. - Close to De Brouckère metro station. - Next to a small shop, and other supermarkets are near. - Service includes clean towels. - Kitchen is complete and well-equipped. Has a large fridge. Only things missing were soup/porridge cups and dishwasher. - Large, modern Samsung television. - Furniture looks new. - Place is safe. It has 2 locks and fire alarms. - Apartment has some views on the nearby church and the street. - Has nice restaurants nearby. Brasserie du Gourmet and Wolf food court are recommended. These are better and cheaper options than restaurants near the main square. - For Brussels, recommended is walking and the metro to get around, city is less suitable for cycling (dangerous) and cars (no parking space).

- Note that you have to walk many steps to reach the apartment. - Apartment is less suitable for people over 2 meters tall (risk of hitting your head). - Not a nice entrance of the building. - Window needs to be open slightly for ventilation. - Some noise from construction work in the highest bedroom, but not too bad because the room is situated high and thus far from the road.

Posizione strategica per raggiungere a piedi il centro della città e vicino a fermata metro. Proprietari molto gentili e appartamento grazioso. Stoviglie curate, nuove.

Migliorerei il bagno...tavoletta del wc " mobile" nel senso che era solo appoggiata e quando aprivi l'acqua calda del rubinetto del lavandino c'era rumore. Anche le chiavi, consiglierei di fornire 2 mazzi così si può essere indipendenti.

En general nada me gustó, es una tercera planta sin ascensor en una escalera muy estrecha y empinada. Cuando entras al apartamento, dentro del dormitorio principal este tiene otra escalera dentro y también estrecha y empinada donde hay una habitación con dos camas individuales pequeñas por lo cual el dormitorio pequeño no tiene ninguna intimidad . El olor a comida en todo el edificio es insoportable incluso dentro del apartamento, ya que la familia que regenta el apartamento vive en el bajo y están todo el rato cocinando cocina de tipo hindú. Digamos que la limpieza muy básica en general. El baño pequeño con la ducha super baja no apta para personas altas

Buena ubicación y el propietario nos permitió dejar el equipaje antes del check-in y después del check-out.

Sin embargo el propietario fue impuntual y tardaba en responder. El alojamiento está en un tercer piso sin ascensor, con escaleras de caracol no muy estables y acceso muy estrecho por escalera a la habitación superior. El olor a especias en el bloque también era reseñable. No había recambio de papel higiénico, la bañera es peligrosa para personas altas, la puerta del baño abre mal y el grifo no funciona correctamente.

La proximité du centre ville : env 10 minutes à pied de la grand place. Des petits commerces et des restaurants tout proches

Les mensonges dans le descriptif : il est indiqué qu’il y a un climatiseur. C’est faux et il faisait 30 dehors et presqu’autant dans l’appartement sous les toits. Il est mentionné vue. La vue donne sur un énorme chantier, à condition de voir à travers les carreaux particulièrement sales et de passer la tête à travers un vasistas! Les peignoirs et produits de toilette annoncés n’existaient pas, sauf de quoi se laver les mains. Ménage correct à première vue… à condition de ne pas regarder sous le canapé ! Accueil déplorable. Nous avons été reçues par un monsieur ne parlant presque pas français. Son fils ( le propriétaire) est quasi injoignable. J’ai laissé des messages et téléphoné à plusieurs reprises, sans succès, pour réclamer des draps. J’ai fini par aller dans les étages inférieurs, occupés par la famille du propriétaire pour obtenir un drap, puis un deuxième. Tout ça à 22h30 alors que nous nous étions levées très tôt. Le propriétaire a fini par me rappeler et m’a dit qu’il avait pensé à autre chose et oublié que j’avais réclamé les draps vers 17 heures, puis à 20h. Quand j’ai fait remarquer au propriétaire que le velux du séjour ( dans lequel je dormais) n’a pas de store et qu’il fait jour à 5 h, il m’a répondu de me débrouiller avec une serviette de toilette!!

Quelle deception

Le lit était très confortable

Nous y avons dormi 2 nuits sur 4 de payes. Les escaliers sont dangereuses car 3 étages en colimaçon avec une rampe un peu bancale et une absence d'eau chaude nous ont fait fuir. Le propriétaire nous a offert un remboursement pour les 2 jours restants mais Booking à rembourser que quelques dollars en crédit voyage... Nous sommes déçus et nous ne souhaitons plus faire affaire avec booking qui donne une accréditation à ce genre d'hergement J'espère que personne ne va tomber et se blesser dans cet escaliers car ce propriétaire et booking auront sûrement des poursuites judiciaires. Une photo des escaliers ainsi qu'un avertissement clair dans la description est requise De plus nous avons mentionné qu'il ny avait pas d'eau chaude à 15h00 et nous avons eu une réponse le lendemain matin quand nous avons signifier notre départ. Tout ceci nous laisses un goût amer et si mon commentaire n'est pas effacé soyez prudents avec cet hébergement
