Pretty cottage, that was comfortable and clean. Good communication with owners and easy access to the key on arrival.
I was not aware that parking was on such a dead end, narrow street with cars parked on either sides when booking. Each day involved reversing into Arthur Street to be able to get a space to park up on the kerb. The bathroom has visible evidence of damp in it and smelt really bad which permeated out into the kitchen and living room from the second day of our stay.

It was very quaint
The stairs were very steep and it didn’t make this clear. I have a back injury so movement was an issue

The arrival time. booked it thinking it was a 15.00 arrival and exit time between 11.00-12.00 as was clear on the booking I made.got a message to say 16.00 arrival and exit 11.00.if that's the case change the information so people know that

I was informed about four days before arrival that I would have to send photo I D to the person renting this property despite it being stated that that would be required on arrival.I w as not comfortable doing this,so I declined..Then about two hours before arrival I got a text saying the renter would not be available to give us the keys in person so i reluctantly sent a copy of my driving licence to a their phone. However, the renter was able to hand over the keys when I made my dissatisfaction known.Surely this is the fault of booking.com -you allowed the terms of the booking be changed after you deducted the money from my card.I have strong objections to sending photo ID to a phone that I have no idea how secure it is.It left a sour taste.

From the moment we first stepped through the front door we truly appreciated all the hard work the owner Natasha had put into her property. The cottage has a really cosy feel to it but with ever mod-com you need for a very comfortable stay. It was so quiet and relaxing. lovely sound in the morning waking up to the local church bells. it is in the centre of the beautiful little village of Royal Hillsborough with some great pubs for food, post office, speciality shops and of course Hillsborough Castle residence of the Queen when she visits. would highly recommend the cottage for a great stay.
I would struggle to find something that I didn’t like about the property. Parking may be an issue as the street is narrow but with help from a very friendly neighbour we fitted in to the locals way of,parking and had no issues.

Not drinking wine and not getting a sore head. The walk to the main street was short. I read a book instead of watching TV. The cottage was so warm, clean and cosy. Can't wait to go back.......if I'm allowed!
I couldn't find the key to the wine cellar. Parking was possible....if you had a bicycle. The TV didn't seem to have "normal" channels.

Delay function on washing machine defeated me.
