The cottage is very cozy, clean and in a very charming and quiet cul de sac. We enjoyed our stay very much up until the end when everything went downhill, unfortunately.
If the booking confirmation claims that the checkout time is between 11.00 and 11.30 AM, the owner should not be sending "kind reminders" to guests at 10.33 to leave by 11.00 AM. We planned our morning routine according to the timeslot provided and planned leaving by 11.15 (which we did but with unnecessary stress).
After receiving the unpleasant message, I sent a screenshot of the booking confirmation with the above-mentioned checkout times to the owner, and said that we planned leaving in the originally provided timeframe. She didn't get back until 11.40 and we were long gone by then. Instead of packing and leaving relaxed and happy, we left stressed and quite annoyed by the whole thing.
This whole ordeal was completely unnecessary and our 5 star stay quickly downgraded to 3 star just because of this unpleasant departure experience.
