Relaxing few days in a beautiful setting

The locations was exceptional. The shops, restaurants, were practically on the doorstep.

Nothing on this visit however if I had brought my car I would have been concerned with parking in front of the house.

It’s giving “the holiday” cottage vibes!

Fabulous little getaway, cottage is absolutely beautiful ! Heating and lights were on when we arrived along with some lovely thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine, treats and a handwritten note from the hosts! Was easy to find and the village is lovely. Will definitely return and recommend!

Amazing cottage!!

Warm and cosy! Super comfortable bed, kitted out kitchen and lovely lounge area. Loved all the finishing touches like the tayto crisps and selection box in the bedroom and wine and shortbread in the kitchen. The hosts truely went above and beyond.

We enjoyed the central location and ability to walk to all the locations in Royal Hillsborough.

1. We asked for a guarantee of a car parking spot for our hire car, before booking. The promised car parking spot was general street parking, in an incredibly narrow street with cars parked so tightly around our vehicle as to make entering/leaving stressful and hazardous every time. Arthur Street is a cul-de-sac. Exiting the the street required a 10-point turn rather than a 3-point turn. Very harardous and unsuitable for a hire car. In the evening it was a lottery as to whether we would be able to park anywhere in Arthur Street never mind outside Number 16. There was a painter's van which arrived early most mornings and parked outside No 16. IMO this is not a proper dedicated parking spot. Future travellers should be advised. Not suitable for travellers with a car/hire car. 2. The only bathroom/toilet was downstairs. Night trips to the bathroom were to descend a narrow staircase. IMO not suitable for older travellers (like us) and most certainly unsuitable for children.

Such a beautiful little cottage. Interior is gorgeous with no expense spared. Just stunning.

Upstairs does get warm with the low ceilings but there is a fan to help with this. Owners have thought of everything in fairness.

Lovely first rate accommodation in a beautiful old town

Lovely little cottage extremely well equipped lots of lovely extra touches . Beautiful old town. Hosts were brilliant communication was excellent . Be lovely in the winter with the log burner on.

Would have liked a tiny bit of outside space having said that lovely walks and parks to go too round the corner. The bed needed replacing but this is being done the arrival of a new mattress was delayed should have been in place so this will not be an issue in the future.

Cottage steeped in history!

What an amazing cottage! Steeped in history!! I just adored it. The hosts were exceptionally nice!! All the little extra details. Omg they thought of everything. So generous to leave everything for us, wine, water and treats. It's was truly a unique experience in the most amazing little village. I genuinely can't wait to return. We also had the best sleep ever.

Lovely cottage

The moment I walked in I felt at home. Everything was there for us. We did use the sofa bed as my husband has a dodgy knee and sleeping downstairs was great for him. But even better for me in the very comfortable double bed upstairs.😂 Little treats left for us was a lovely , kind addition. Location good to visit other attractions, for example Mount Stewart.

Exceptional cottage in a beautiful village

It was in a perfect location for our break. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. All of the small touches, such as welcome gifts, made the stay a home from home. We would highly recommend this cottage and Royal Hillsborough. For anyone thinking of visiting, the Plough Inn is a must!
