It was a lovely quaint cottage. Lovely decor. Very clean and had everything we needed. The welcome gifts gave a personal touch.

The only concern we had was the parking outside as it’s a narrow street and the next door neighbours parked very tight and blocked us in. It didn’t bother us as we were within walking distance to everywhere we were going anyway. Next time we’d probably use the car park nearby.

A lovely cottage

Clean, welcoming, perfect location. Special welcome, wine, chocolates, crisps. Spacious, much better than a hotel room. We loved the cottage and really enjoyed our stay in Hillsborough. I am sure that we will return.

Beautiful, clean and characterful cottage in a great location.

We loved everything about the cottage, it was cosy and welcoming. The hosts had thoughtfully left some treats, so we were able to enjoy them and relax after our ferry treat. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathroom was new and very clean. The lounge was cosy, and the woodburner was perfect, even in the summer. The bedroom upstairs was light and airy, spacious and very comfortable. We loved Hillsborough itself, from the cottage we walked to the beautiful forest, and the other attractions. There were also a range of pubs and restaurants within and easy walk, grocery stores, and a post office, everything we needed. Belfast was easily accessible by a half hour bus ride, the bus stop was minutes from the cottage.

Excellent location comfortable for x2 people. Within walking distance of Hillsborough Castle, Hillsborough forest & Fort the local churches & shops & restaurants.

A surpisingly comfortable and convenient property located in the middle of a bustling town

Able to walk out easily to restaurants shops and pubs. No need to cook unless you really want to. Very central to the town and all the green spaces plus the Royal Hillsborough Castle (book in advance for an interior tour), Hillsborough fort and forest. Loved the light airy feeling in the cottage and the somewhat quirky decoration. Small but comfortable for two people, one double bed only. Two TVs , one in the bedroom one in the living room. Friendly neighbours, pleasant and helpful owner.

This is NOT a dislike, just a warning, if you have a large vehicle parking outside could be a problem, but my SUV was OK and once parked stayed there for our stay. It is on a narrow street, everyone there parks on the pavement!
