Quaint and cozy. It was like stepping back in time except the central heating works perfectly, the shower has great water pressure and the WiFi connection is good etc etc. The atmosphere of 1925 with the comfort of 2025! Lorna was the perfect host. When we arrived the house was spotlessly clean and she had left some breakfast provisions for us.
There was nothing not to like.

A wonderfully charming in a perfect location for exploring Hillsborough and the surrounding areas. The cottage itself is like walking into a period movie set - so beautifully restored and decorated. Two lovely pubs - both less than 100 m from No. 33, and both highly recommended.
Perfect communication from Lorna before and during the stay. This is a gem!
The place is very close to perfect, but some may find the stairs a bit steep, and note that there is an old fashioned bathtub not very suitable for those with reduced mobility.

Location could not have been better for work trip to Hillsborough Castle. Lisa was a very attentive host. The tea and scones on arrival were very welcome after a long journey! The property was warm, clean and comfortable.
There was nothing we didn’t like although we never did find the book with the information and WiFi code (but got the passcode from the WiFi box).

The Coach House is a lovely, charming cottage. Felt right at home as soon as we arrived! Lorna was there to hand over the keys and was super friendly, accommodated and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds a sooo comfortable to, it made it harder to get out of bed to explore all the local attractions - of which there are plenty!
The house was lovely and warm, really cosy - I would have happily stayed longer!
Hillsborough itself was great -would highly recommend Game of Thrones studio tour, Hillsborough Castle and Garden, the Fort and Hillsborough Forest and Lakes. Would also recommend the Parsons Nose for some fine dining and the Hillside for delicious food with huge portions!!
Definitely will return!
Everything was perfect - nothing to complain about at all!

Amazing little house. Full of character and very cosy. Highly recommended.
The road is quite busy, so the location is not for someone looking for a quiet retreat. Other than that, it’s fantastic.

Lorna is a generous and thoughtful host. She is the most fab communicator. She made us feel very welcome. The property is like a little museum. Using an Aga for the first time was great. Very clean, warm and cosy. Right by some great pubs and a lovely park.

From the minute you walk in, you're transported to a bygone age. Victorian style house with so many different, old bits and pieces. An Aga keeps the house lovely and warm, turf fire in the living room is tremendous (just takes a bit of patience). Complimented by modern appliances ( dishwasher, fridge, microwave) but homely enough to make you feel really relaxed, only thing would be a "new" sofa in living room. A bit low and small to get truly comfy....Lorna and Gail were wonderful hosts, so helpful. Hope to be back soon and for longer.
Apart from the sofa....not a thing!

No.33 Coach House is a wonderful and fun place to stay. Lorna has filled it with a vast collection of antiques, so it is like going back in time 80 years. The AGA range in the kitchen provides warmth to the kitchen and works great for drying clothes on the rack above it. And around the corner is the magnificent Hillsborough Castle, which should not be missed. Hillsborough is in a very central location to see many of the sights of Northern Ireland.
The only problem we had was with the antique toilet. But Lorna was able to give tips on how to properly use it. She really helped us out in many ways.

The coach house was just beautiful, such a unique place and wonderful atmosphere. The host had thought of everything, there was a lovely welcome pack as well as butter, cheese, sparkling water and milk. Lorna the host was so easy going as well. It was a perfect stay and I’ve already recommended it to all my friends and family. We genuinely didn’t want to leave!
I have no complaints at all, I don’t know what else anyone could want.

The welcome pack of bread, cheese, milk and cake was a really nice touch. Tea and coffee were provided and some sparkling fruit juice. Having both a dishwasher and washing machine were a bonus. We met with Lorna who is a friendly and helpful host. Would thoroughly recommend The Coach House. It is a quirky and delightful cottage.

This was our first stay at No.33 Coach House. Property is situated in the heart of Hillsborough and within easy walk of amenities. Also excellent bus service to Sprucefield retail park and Belfast. No.33 is a cozy townhouse with original fixtures and fittings. We loved the open fire. Kitchen has all usual facilities and we enjoyed cooking on the aga. Beds very comfortable with good sized rooms which can easily fit a family of four. Lorna is a great host and we appreciated the complimentary goodies, milk etc. Would definitely recommend.

Great location. Lovely quirky & charming character. Helpful friendly hostess.
The aga hob wasn't hot enough to cook on, we'd planned dinner out but had to go to cafe for breakfast.

We absolutely loved our stay in this fabulous home! The location is right in the middle of beautiful Hillsborough town. We were in the area for Christmas Shopping and it's an ideal base for hitting the outlets in Banbridge and shops in Lisburn. The house itself is absolutely immaculately clean and has many simply amazing period features. Walking into it was like stepping back in time in a wonderful way. The way it is decorated and maintained is perfect for the age of the building. It's so cosy as well, the Aga gives off fantastic heat, so much so that we didn't need the heating on at all! The rooms are comfortable and everything you could need is provided. We were a group of 4 adults and found the space ideal for us. Lorna is a fantastic host - although we didn't meet her she was so helpful and gave us plenty of advice. We can't say enough good things about our stay here and we can't wait to return again!

Beautiful traditional style property in an excellent location right next to Hillsborough Castle and Hillsborough Forest. Our host Lorna very kindly left us a lovely welcome pack and the fridge stocked with essentials which was a lovely surprise. Loved the aga cooker and all the traditional furnishings in the property.
Nothing, everything was perfect. Will definitely return in the future.

Charming house in a wonderful location - every room is a feast for the eyes. You will feel at home from the second you arrive. The courtyard garden is perfect for al-fresco eating. The beds are bouncy and both bedrooms are very restful.
Within yards, there is a gorgeous beer garden (The Hillside) and you must have breakfast/brunch in the Vintage Rooms (The Plough Inn). There's a fantastic bakery, butchery a short toddle away as well as a wee coffee stop (Out of Habit). Check out The Ashvale (cafe and farm shop) a short car ride away for a tip-top lunch or afternoon tea.
The host provided some tasty nibbles for our arrival and was super-friendly throughout. Book the Coachhouse for your perfect trip to Hillsborough :0)
The Coachhouse is pure perfection - nothing could improve its appeal
