Not a good night's sleep

The bath lights and spinney seat. Sofa was comfy

Finding it a cross very wet sodden grass. Cold on entry windows open no heating on. No milk for tea and coffee. Luke warm tap water. Beds really bad. Worse I've ever tried to sleep on. It took ages to try and get it warm. TV didn't have picture and had to reset. Then the same in the morning. We tried to call Nigel number unavailable. Really was not impressed absolutely knackered. Not what we wanted. The site was shut so no breakfast although it suggests on ad you can get breakfast at £7.50. Really felt we should've had more info about park. Contacts etc in chalet.

Couple of days in Devon

We have stayed on Bideford Bay before and so were familiar with it. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived

It was very cold and the heating in the chalet is inadequate for winter time. The mattresses on the beds were very uncomfortable and I didn’t like having to bring our own bedding as I’ve never had to do this before We couldn’t get the tv to work, it was sound but no picture The hot water in the bathroom wasn’t really hot enough for a bath , however the shower was fine

Overall a good stay over 10 days.

Just the right size and location for what I needed

It was generally clean and well kept and a good place to stay. However, a few things made it not so good such as a damp sofa on arrival and a damp smell in the air; a pot of mouldy stew overlooked in the cupboard; the numbers had been worn off the dials on the oven so it was hard to fathom the temperature although oven worked well; the TV was temperamental but not due to signal; it was very cold on arrival but the available plug in heaters and one on the wall just about kept it warm enough; the mattress on the double bed was not very supportive.

Lovely place, nice quiet site. Would recommend.

Surprisingly spacious.

No lamp in bedroom. Stated dvd player, only found a ps3, but no controller. Could have done with it as weather was rather rough.

A bit disappointed about the property

We loved the location

It smelled of old enclosed space (mouldy), the sofa felt soggy for some reason and the beds had absolutely no bed sheets on them! Great location but the property doesn't really feel like it's looked after. Plus, the website says the checkout is at 12:00 and we were sent a message from the owner through the website to remind us the checkout is before 11:00 so we kind of felt rushed which isn't nice..

Review Bucklands Chalet

Location excellent for us. Quiet holiday camp no unnecessary noise at night. Easy parking. Shop close by. Clubhouse on sites. Shower in chalet good.

Property tired. Neither DVD player was working. Controls for television temperamental. Sofa uncomfortable and sunken and felt damp in places. Single beds sunken in middle not supportive. Foods at the back of fridge froze.

Didn’t use it much, however when we played the DVD’s the picture was only showing in black and white, but the normal tv was absolutely fine! 😊

Falsely advertised, everything on resort was closed even though the ad said they're open.

Absolutely nothing, falsely advertised and spend 3 days with a disappointed and BORED 5 year old.

Everything. The whole getaway was falsely advertised, it a said in our ad and in our confirmation email that everything would be open, but instead everything was closed. Even local theme parks and everything were closed. All the owner had to say on the phone was go up the mountain and they have cows and sheep.. I'm from Wales.. I have sheep in my back garden... I didn't drive nearly 200 miles to look at sheep.

Don’t hire the property is something break it’s tough it won’t be fixed left us no heating or cooker facilities

Perfect on the first night

Second morning power went leaving us no hot water heating electric I have a baby and disabled daughter and owner still hasn’t been in contact apologised and refunded half the amount disgusting shouldnt be allowed to advise his property

The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed , although my parents were a bit cold at night so maybe would bring a hot water bottle next time but it is late summer so wouldn't always be needed 😊 Such a cute chalet and excellent price . Thank you x

Really enjoyed our stay with home comforts with lots to see & do.

location was great, facilities on site were good, chalet was clean & comfortable, nicely decorated.

Bedroom with double bed was a little small .

Bideford town was a disappointment so had to drive to Bude which has a lovely beach and town, having to pay £10 per pers

Can’t say we liked the property it is a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures and very tired.

The outside is quite unkempt with furniture that has seen better days, all of the beds were uncomfortable. The access down to the beach was unusable and the trip to all the facilities from the chalet was a very long uphill & downhill walk.

We liked the cosiness of the property and family feel.

Instructions for the hob and oven 😁 We didn't get reply when we mesaged the owner with some issues but in the end worked it out ourselves

Lovely cosy chalet with all mod cons

The location of the chalet on the holiday park was adjacent to the parking area so easy for unloading and getting dogs to & from the car. The chalet was very clean, tidy & comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a TV with a good selection of channels & DVDs.

I would've preferred to have lower level lighting in the lounge & bedroom, rather than having the main ceiling lights on.

Perfect location and good family stay

Perfect location. Nigel was very helpful in providing directions and the property had all the facilities- games, DVD players with a selection of CDs etc.. The location and park facilities - in door pool and outdoor pool were great too.

The beds were very uncomfortable, and can be a tad bit cleaner.. but the facilities and location turns it otherway

perfect little bolt hole for our overnight stay. 2 adults, 2 kids under 10, 1 teenager and 2 small dogs

perfect little base for our overnight stay. simple, well equipped, clean and quiet. site is well managed and the pools are very convenient .

Apart from our youngest being afraid of the smallest of spiders there was nothing we didn’t like about our stay. it’s that time of year where spiders are everywhere so I had to capture a couple and put them back into the wild! lol can’t fault the property and Nigel was very helpful before our stay and firing !
