The Court Yard

Good location close to the centre of bowness and minutes to the lake. Very clean. To have a hot tub was great. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom is brand new with underfloor heating which was a nice touch. Parking permit and car park details provided with the closest one minutes walk away.

The smoke alarm in the hall beeped frequently and was reported and not fixed so we heard it constantly for a week. It was not clear in the description that it was split level and the living room and bedroom are below pavement level underneath a nail salon. You can hear everything from the salon with the owner being loud and stomping. I felt compelled to go check on her as i thought she was shouting and sounded as if in trouble but she was just on a zoom call talking very loudly. She also had the audacity to contact the hosts to say that my dogs had had a wee in the hall (impossible as they were never alone or off lead in the hall). The hosts believed her rather than challenge her and contacted me to ask me to go clean it up. It was a small patch of water which we did not cause right outside her door. The door to regal house has to be open in the day which opens onto a busy road, which i found unsettling. We were also asked to not use the hot tub after 8.30pm which we found out just before our stay as the neighbours do not want noise.

The location was very good. Bed very comfy. Hot tub was nice.

Extremely noisy and could hear literally everything that was happening upstairs. The property was nice but feel like it needed a bit of TLC, damp on the walls, cobwebs in the bathroom and stains on the carpet. Had to pay extra to have a birthday banner up whereas at other properties this has been included especially given the price of the property itself.

Great location and property. Hosts very responsive and super friendly, got the hot tub ready for us on arrival. Parking permit included so that was a great bonus. Would recommend this accommodation.

No mention of split level. Kitchen ground floor and remainder (bedroom, living area and bathroom) downstairs with steep stairs. My mother who has mobility issues struggled to move freely throughout the property and had to stay downstairs whilst my father went up and down to the kitchen. This needs to be made more obvious in the description. Also decor a bit outdated and could do with a bit of an upgrade.
