Bowness Bay View

Great location, up a big hill but youd expect that for the view! The parking was exceptional too, you dont get that at most places! Apartment had everything we needed.

It would be great if there were a couple of shelves above the single beds for extra storage and a fan for hot days.

Great location just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness. Plenty of parking available too which is a premium in Bowness and something we've struggled with on previous visits to the town. The apartment was well furnished and adequately sized for us (2 adults & 2 little ones), with beautiful views from the living room, especially at sunset. The owner's communication and friendliness was amazing, managed to get us an earlier check-in which was ideal with the two little ones and we met the owner as we were departing (admittedly slightly late) who kindly insisted on helping us carry our things down to the car and stopped for a chat with us before we left - top man. I'm sure we'll be back again as we tend to visit Bowness at least once a year.

As others have mentioned the water pressure wasn't great and the shower was very tricky to keep at a consistent temperature. But nothing we couldn't cope with for a few nights. Others have mentioned the stairs, I can see it being an issue for some but for us it was manageable even in the 30+ degrees heat and it's not something the owner can do anything about except maybe to warn potential guests. Others have also mentioned the lack of WiFi, which is true but we both have plenty of data and had no signal issues so it wasn't really a problem for us.
