Excellent break in a beautiful location

Easy to follow access and location instructions. I did call the host to ask a very quick question and they answers straight away. Location was perfect, a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Bowness and all amenities.

The property was in a great location

The size. Very compact apartment for 3 adults and one Labrador. Didn’t spoil our stay as we were out most of the time and just used it as a base.

When we walked into the apartment my face actually hurt smiling! It was so unexpected after arriving because we thought we were in the wrong place from the photos on here, but it’s an absolute hidden gem! The apartment was lovely and warm on arrival and the views were to die for! The location could not be better, you are literally in the centre of Bowness with secure parking too without having to pay extra- this really does make the apartment good value for money! The apartment was spotless, all the cups and plates were gleaming and there’s a great selection of trays, pots and pans in the kitchen which is great once you realise the prices of eating out. There’s also a kettle, microwave and a toaster which was fab!

Could just do with the code for the bin yard, a hoover to use whilst there and it is quite high up so if we had taken the baby that could have been awkward for unpacking etc but that is literally petty, it did not really affect the quality of our stay, it’s more suggestions if we had to be picky!

Exceptional time in Windermere

Exceptional communication with Andrew before, during and after the stay. Location was fantastic! Gorgeous apartment, so clean and decorated to high standards. Great parking availability. Kind little treat left on arrival with very clean instructions.

Not that it could take away from the exceptional apartment but wish we would've known to bring our own towels.

Nicely decorated flat with a stunning lake view

The location is perfect, very close to the lake and to pubs and shops. Nicely decorated rooms. The host is nice and ready to help. Clean and warm inside.

The flat is on the top floor with no lifts and rather narrow stare case. That was not a problem for us, but people have to consider it. No wi-fi. The bathroom was not as thought after as the other rooms.

A perfect clean and comfortable central base to explore Bowness with the bonus of lovely owners!

You can't get a better location in Bowness - just a fabulous spot for getting to all the various shops, restaurants and the lake itself. The view from the lounge window was incredible overlooking the autumn leaves, lake and hills beyond. The flat was spotlessly clean and made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The owners are so welcoming, accomodating and helpful and I really would recommend this bargain of a diamond in the centre of Bowness on Windermere. Very handily it backs onto the best pizza (Rastellis) and best breakfast (Mio Mondo) too!

Beautiful Apartment in great location.

A cosy 2 bedroom apartment with beautifully done interiors, bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room all look impeccable. Ample Parking around. Great location, everything walking distance or within few minutes drive. Lots of Halal options and restaurants to eat at. Good and easy communication with the owner. I like that it had no WiFi which made the family time better( might not work for all)

Its was on the second floor and no lift made it difficult to carry heavy luggage up/down the stairs. Might be a deal breaker for people with mobility issues which is shame as the apartment itself is wonderful. A good to have would be: Net curtains for privacy. A mat and mop in the bathroom.

Great location

Generally a nice little flat. Clean and tidy and has everything you need in the kitchen. Main bedroom large and comfortable. Provided a travel cot and highchair which was super helpful.Location excellent, so close to everything and free parking.

The flat is up four flights of outdoor narrow concrete steps, making it a bit difficult for bringing bags in and we simply had to leave pushchair in the car. We should have read fine details more, but good to highlight there's no WiFi. The sofas in the living space are too small to share and the TV is not decent, so would have been nice in the evening while our child was asleep to sit in the (stunning) bedroom and watch a movie together.

Amazing location, clean and comfy

Amazing location! Right in the middle of Bowness, 5 min walk to the lake, 20 mins walk to Windermere. We used it as a base to visit Grasmere (short drive), Ambleside (short drive or boat trip from Bowness) and Buttermere (1 hour drive) too. Lovely apartment, super clean and comfortable. Close to loads of restaurants, shops and cafes but wasn't noisy at all.

There was no WiFi and our phone signal for 4G was rubbish so it was a little hard to plan our days, Google things to do, maps etc. It was nice to unplug for a week, so not a big issue but would've made life a little easier. The apartment got quite warm when the weather was hot (but we were just happy to have good weather to be honest!). Didn't stop us from sleeping but you might want to bring a fan if you're lucky enough to get a really hot week!!

Well located property

The location was great, main bedroom was comfortable

It wasn’t advertised as a second floor apartment and we had a lot of luggage as a family and without a lift in the building this was problematic. Also the bin in the kitchen was tiny- though the host kindly bought more bin bags and were responsive during our stay. There was also no Wifi- which surprised us in 2025 - and unfortunately cost us a lot in extra data fees as overseas visitors.

An incredible few days in Bowness Bay View. I’ve already booked to go back!

The location was incredible. Central, and just a couple of minutes walk to the Bowness shops and lake. The private parking is an excellent bonus. The host replied to any questions with incredible speed! The property had everything we needed, was clean, comfy and well presented. Don’t let the no internet put you off, it’s refreshing to be off grid!

A couple of clothes hanging hooks in the twin bedroom would be helpful :)

-Well-appointed flat - excellent location - great communication with host - comfy beds - kitchen had all the tool kit required

- no Internet access a bit of a deal breaker, but it was my fault, I should have checked properly. - steep, narrow staircase, probably not the best if limited mobility.

Great central location for a quick trip away

Property was nicely decorated; great to have a living area and kitchen. Property is on the second floor which I didn’t realise, not sure if it says somewhere I may have missed it (with a pram and a dog, it was a bit of a juggle!) You have to bring your own towel again, a bit of annoyance to have to bring them with you for short trip away. I know it was noted in other reviews but the toilet is very loud and takes quite a while to refill. Along with the clicking of heating; previously mentioned quite loud. Great addition of free parking with property; as so hard to find proper parking so central in bowness. Definitely would stay again as value for money we couldn’t fault.

Well situated for our needs.

The flat was very central in Bowness, however there were many stairs which were challenging for 77 year olds and an arthritic dog! The flat was lovely and warm when we arrived but only heating in 2 rooms worked on our second /third day. There was however a portable radiator which helped. The accommodation was good value and clean with a helpful info sheet when we arrived.

On Sunday morning we were woken to hammering and drilling from, we think, the flat below. This continued until we went out at lunch time. Initially we struggled to find the apartment. A map would have been useful.

Short stay at bowness

Brilliant location, loved the apartment, which was very clean and looked new, and thanks so much for the biscuits. It was nice that we didn't use the car once during our stay as everything we needed was right on our doorstep.

The only thing letting the apartment down was the heating. It kept us all awake at night with its constant clicking and clunking, and it was absolutely freezing in the evenings, especially the kitchen and bathroom where there was no heating and the heater in the living room.wasnt on all the time either. The kids lived in their room in the evenings as they were warmer in there. We said that we would definitely stay again but not in the winter months.

Fantastic birthday present for my 83yr old dad.

Nice and clean. Comfy beds. Plenty of wardrobe space in main bedroom. Lovely big bathroom room. Well equipped kitchen. 10 minutes walk down to Bowness front. Plenty of places to eat and drink.

Only thing I can think of was the stairs up to the apartment 🤪.

Lovely stay

Perfect location, so close to everything which was perfect having a little one. Apartment was clean and ideal size for 3 adults and a little one. Having a place to park was also great and just next to the apartment made everything easy.

The apartment could do with some updating, some kitchen cupboard were damaged, the travel cot was slightly damaged and uncomfortable. Although there were wardrobes there were no hangers.
