Delightful apartment on top two floors of a 4 storey Victorian building, overlooking Bowness village and the mountains.
Close to all amenities and five minutes walk from the lake with country walks from the door

An airy lounge with bay windows giving views of the mountains with a coal effect gas fire for the cooler months. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and microwave.
Situated on a Cul-de-Sac away from the main road and is very quiet. Biskey Howe viewpoint is 5 minutes walk up the hill, which gives stunning views of the lake and mountains
Car parking permit is available and there is plenty of free parking on the road by Ellie's View

Ellie's View is a delightful two story flat with a nice view over the town and of the surrounding hills. The home was well equipped and comfortable. There are metal stairs leading up to the door so anyone with a disability would find it a challenge. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed several evenings and mornings having a drink and enjoying the view.Parking was a bit of an issue for me as it would require me to park on a steep hill so I used a nearby public lot which offered reasonable 3 night and 7 night rates.

Nice place to stay. Near to shops and lake. Parking can be a problem should of had a permit but privace people took by mistake so we didn't get it till Friday evening.

This property had all the basics we needed except the pots and pans were very used and minimal and there was no dish soap. The strange thing about this property is that the advertisement is as if you can walk Ellie the dog and the people who own it are nearby and it is going to be a cozy and personalized place to visit. It is not that. We never heard nor saw the owners, much less the dog. There was no welcome of any kind. The place is basic clean: basic bedding, basic dishes, and off site parking. There are no real touches to make you feel welcomed to the property - which is fine as long as its billed that way. It is incredibly convenient to get to the town center and also has nice views . The furniture and beds were comfortable. the pictures of the place are accurate and that is really important and valuable. It would have been helpful to have a fan as It was incredibly hot. It was so hot in fact, it was uncomfortable to be in the living areas from mid day till about 18:30. I know the weather was extreme, but it would have said something if the owners had brought over a fan with a note. Again this kind of touch says they care about the people who are staying. Honestly, a few little personal touches would have turned this "fine" place into something special/memorable. This was the consensus of our whole family rather than just mine. I was the one paying and did not note the cost.
