Pottery Gate - sleeps 4 in modern dog friendly cottage with parking and new bathroom

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Pottery Gate. The house was super clean, very comfortable, and a great place to come home too after a long day walking. The bathroom was a huge hit with my children, watching tv while having a bath was a great surprise! It was very handy having the laundry facilities too, a great addition to the house. I’d also add that we are not pet people and I was a little worried about smells, but there was none at all. It was very clean and smelt wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone looking for a little base in the Lakes.

Lovely property in an excellent location, nice comfy beds well equipped property steps at front could do with hand rail and rear entrance could do with a little tlc, overall had a very nice stay. Great first stay in the lakes, the property location is fantastic and within walking distance to the lake. The decor and facilities within the property is like a home from home, everything was thought of with added extras on arrival which was really thoughtful. Communication and the service prior couldn’t fault, we travelled as two couples with 2 cars the additional space to park was greatly appreciated. The weather wasn’t on our side during our visit so didn’t make use of the outdoor space but those staying on a sunny day the outdoor space and table and chairs I can imagine it’s really enjoyable. The washing machine and dryer was so handy to wash walking clothes. Won’t hesitate in staying again or recommending. Thank you Ross and team.

We had a lovely stay at Pottery Gate with our two dogs. The house was extremely clean and really lived up to the photos. The location is brilliant and easy driving distance from fabulous walks as well as walking distance from all the amenities you could need. It’s important to note that although you get a permit for one car, a space isn’t guaranteed so we did have to do a bit of walking from our car parking space to get to the house which was a bit awkward with two dogs and bags on arrival and we had to make several trips from the car and back. Finding the house was easy, although I did have some difficulty opening the gate and both the front door and back door of the property without some help as the gate needs a good shove and the door handles are very stiff so would advise some improvements here. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and the place felt very comfortable and cosy, I would have liked some more fire logs however as we could only find one. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and we slept very well! The dogs also had a great time and it was great that we could easily shower them down in the courtyard area after muddy walks before going in the house. We luckily brought our own hose attachment which came in handy as the hose pipe provided had several holes in it so didn’t work – something that would be great to replace for future guests. Overall, this is a brilliant holiday cottage in a fantastic location and despite a few minor issues, I would recommend to others.
