Would choose the old Monterosso over this accomodation position

Proximity to beach and resturants was 5 mins walk. Did prefer the old Monterosso town though which was about 15 mins walk away. More old town charm and better choice of restaurants.

68 steps to go up and down to accomodation. Perhaps since covid has lifted Monterosso and cinque terre coast very crowded. Hospitality staff in some establishments not friendly, not all but in 4 nights probably 50% in our experience eating out each day for lunch and dinner. Pay to walk national park that is poorly managed.

Excellent location for exploring Cinque Terre!

A perfect location to explore and hike in Cinque Terre including hikes from the door, and the train station and ferry stop around the corner. It was lovely to come back after a busy day to the peaceful balcony. We had everything we needed- beds were comfortable, good shower, lots of space. Iris was super helpful about local information and walking routes.

Excelent location in Monterosso

Exceptional property, comfortable, clean, in a very good location in Monterosso. Iris, the host, was friendly and gave us lots of information about the restaurants, ferries, train, trekking.

there was one thing that we didn’t like: the dinnerware. Bowls were missing (we were four, but there were only two) and several plates were chipped. We arrived on time but they would charge us 20 euros for checkin after 6pm.

Great week in Monteorsso!

Iris was the best host- great communication before and during the stay. she was flexible with our arrival and had great recommendations, one the best hosts we have had. location was great- close to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. several flights of stairs to reach apartment but this is common with most apartments in cinque terre and we were able to manage the stairs with a toddler.

Spacious apartment with a great location!

Spacious air conditioned apartment close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Host was informative on the area and helped us secure parking for only 10€’per day (usually about 25€ per day). Fully stocked kitchen!

Lots of stairs to climb to apartment which was a challenge with small children and lots of baggage - no elevator. No refills on toilet paper (1 roll for 6 night stay - host said the government doesn’t allow them to give refills).

The host is FANTASTIC! The property itself is very standard but you will be spending most of the time out of your room. Near incredible restaurants and you won't need to drive during the trip as everything is within a short walk.

Lots of stairs so be aware of that.

Great flat in brilliant location

Iris, the host is fantastic and was brilliant at communicating in advance of our visit. She also provided us with great information on arrival about walking in the area and where to eat (although we cooked a lot as the area is pricy). Nothing was too much trouble and she was happy to store out luggage on our last day as well. Like having a local friend to rely on should you need it. The flat was lovely and light (but with shutters so that you can sleep in!) and beds comfy and great shower. Hanging space on the balcony helpful given the swimming we did! (sea was freezing in April!) Location is brilliant; 3mins walk from Monterosso station and the beach, 1 min from supermarket and lots of cafes and restaurants, and 20mins walk from the old town along the promenade and through the tunnel or around the coast; well worth visiting as it's nice and buzzy. The kitchen is tiny but ok for basic cooking. Perhaps a smaller table in the kitchen would make the space feel larger? I completely missed the fact there was nowhere comfortable to sit in the evening (at the table or go to bed) as it was too cold to sit outside but in reality we were out and about so much as it's such a spectacular area, this didn't bother us. It's pricy, but "this is Cinque Terre" as I was told on numerous occasions!

Superb

We really enjoyed our stay in Monterosso, the location was perfect - close to the beach, close to the train station, grocery store and amazing restaurants within a minute. The accomodation had everything we needed - fully equiped kitchen, comfy bed and most importantly air conditioning. But the favourite part of the apartment was a big balcony to eat and relax. Last but definitely not least I have to mention our host Iris - she was the best host to us, check in and check out were communicated clearly, everything was organized perfectly and after a warm welcome she was a huge help altogether - navigating us through (for us) a confusing system of beach reservations, answering all our questions and quick replies.
