We spent very nice time in Monterosso and we liked the apartments in general.
I would not say that we didn’t like it but, it would be great if the host could add a bit more comfort: extra towels, garbage bags, a cloth for wiping the table, laundry detergent, and maybe replace the hair dryer. These small touches wouldn’t cost much but would make the stay more convenient. It’s not very comfortable when you have to run around an unfamiliar town looking for basic household supplies.

Not much if I’m honest. The bed was comfy and it sort of had air con.
Our stay, unfortunately, wasn’t what we hoped for, and we considered leaving after the first night. Accessing the property involves about 8 flights of stairs, which was very challenging with two young children, a buggy, and luggage. This wasn’t clearly stated in the listing and really impacted our experience.
The apartment itself felt quite dark and musty, and may have a damp issue. One of the most uncomfortable parts was the number of millipedes — they were everywhere: on the walls, stairs, and inside the apartment, which made it hard to relax. We also noticed rat traps in the garden, which was off-putting.
The kitchen was very minimally equipped (not even wine glasses), and although the sofa bed was made up, there was no baby cot as requested. We had to share a bed with our baby, so none of us slept well.
Overall, the property may suit some, but for families with young children or those needing easier access, it’s not ideal

Well located and very spacious place to stay
Before you decide to book this property, I want to highlight two key considerations. Firstly, it's located near a railroad, and you may hear passing trains quite closely. Secondly, please be aware that there are numerous steps, both ascending and descending, leading to the property. This could pose an inconvenience, especially when carrying luggage.

The host was nice. When we arrived, she video called us and guided us to the property. The house is near the main parking in the area, but if you have heavy luggage be prepared to carry it up and down stairs. The bed was comfortable. The apartment has potential but needs to solve many problems to be a good place to stay.
The house did not have fans or AC. The host recommended us to sleep with the room door opened. The main room has a door to the garden, not a window, and the garden is easily accessible to anyone who wants to enter. However, this is the last house, so people don't pass in front, and Monterosso is a safe place, but the first night, I didn't feel safe. Because of the summer weather, we had to sleep with the door opened, and the worst part was the super noisy train passing just behind the garden wall. It made me feel like I was sleeping on a bench next to the train stop. In the middle of the night a powerful reflector lamp in the kitchen started flashing, the switch to turn it off didn't work, so there were moments when the noise of the train and the flashing were happening at the same time, these plus the opened door recreated the perfect scene for a horror movie. I couldn't sleep at all, and we were bitten by mosquitos. The next night we were lucky because we could sleep with the door and all windows of the apartment closed despite the hot weather, and the switch to turn off the lamp worked. Third night was exactly like the first one, but this time we had to sleep with the reflector lamp on because the steady light was better than the strong flash. Also the refrigerator was randomly making noise everyday but if you turn it off and on from inside you can get rid off the noise. During our trip in Italy we stayed in 5 different apartments and Lemons House was the only one that did not provide salt, coffee, or any other basic ingredient in the kitchen, and it happened to be the most expensive accomodation of all. As I said the apartment is the last one in an area of stairs going up and down, so you end up being in the lower part, without a view. Be aware if you have fear of insects and spiders as you can see them crawling the walls.

Nothing
The property was up and then down over 100 stairs. Dragging suitcases. For a family with children it’s undoable. it didn’t mention stairs in the listing. There was no air con and opening the windows only invited mosquitoes in. No fly screens 1 pedestal fan, it was hot, inside and out. No relief at all from the heat made the whole experience uncomfortable. Kitchen minimally stocked. No coffee, sugar, tea towel unlike every other properly I’ve stayed in . Fridge hot to touch on the outside and noisy like it was going to explode, day and night. Main bedroom only had a see through flimsy curtain on the window, no privacy. Mildew on the lounge room walls. The whole place smelt musty and felt dirty. It wasn’t a cheap apartment considering the poor quality.
