Harbour bridge, Camps bar

Callum was really helpful & friendly, & gave us great recommendations for our trip. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the location was great.

Ventilation in the bathroom could be better, but it didn't affect our stay too much!

The room was large and beautifully decorated, with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower had excellent temperature and pressure. Everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and very helpful, providing great local recommendations. The bar downstairs was a lovely spot to relax. Parking is available just across the street, with plenty of spaces. No real negatives, though there are quite a few stairs to be aware of.

Clean, comfortable room in a central location. All I needed for an overnight stay. Calum an excellent, helpful host- explaining the accommodation very well. Recommending walks and a variety of eating places.

Can’t think of anything- met my expectations

I arrived with my bike as I am undertaking the JOGLE cycle ride, and I was just after somewhere to crash for a couple of nights before setting off. And the accommodation met all of my needs and served it's purpose. I thought the owner was very fair and good to me!

For some reason, I thought breakfast was provided, but it wasn't! But it wasn't a problem as there was a good cafe very close by. I just need to fathom out why this misunderstanding happened...

Callum welcomed us on arrival. Very nice gentleman. Explain all the facilities and things to do, places to go in the area. The room was better than expected. Everything was well laid out, neat and clean, with a lovely view of the harbour. We also had a private entrance so we could come and go as we pleased.

From the outside the building we were a bit hesitant. But never judge a book by its cover as the inside was very well presented.

The room was spacious and good for a one night stay.

Great price to value: beautifully renovated. Great host!

I found nothing to dislike

The owner is very friendly and obliging, the room was clean and comfortable. After 2 weeks camping it was just what was needed! For the price I can't fault it at all. I don't understand the bad reviews, yes it's quite basic, but if you want the Hilton, then pay for the Hilton!

The Camps Bar is located near the town centre and there is free public car parking a short walk away and I had no issues leaving my car there for my two night stay in a Standard King Room. I was greeted at the front door by Callum who was really friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in Wick and the surrounding area and he showed me to my room. The room was spacious and clean and possessed all the amenities as advertized including an ensuite shower room and the shower was very good and roomy when I used it during my stay. I didn't spend too much time in my room as I was out and about for most of the two days but it was certainly adequate for my needs. To my initial disappointment the bar was closed for the duration of my stay but this ensured that there was very little noise in the evening ... obviously I can't vouch for that tranquility being maintained on the evenings that the bar IS open!

The bed was very large and intially comfortable but then it became apparent that there is a very noticeable dip in the mattress which wasn't ideal and I felt myself falling into it after a few minutes! Eventually I managed to find a position that allowed me to have a reasonably decent night's sleep. The sink in the shower room is really small and even washing the hands results in water splashing onto the floor ... to be fair, as I mentioned previously the shower is quite spacious so a smaller sink may be a trade off of that situation given the limited space available in the shower room. The stairs leading up to the rooms were quite steep which wasn't an issue for me but could be for people with mobility issues.

The location was good, parking good and the room was basic by fine. Our room needs a new mattress- it was done!! (Noss room). Nice there was a hair dryer. Host was exceptional!!! Over bar but very quiet. Had everything we needed.

The bathroom sink could be switched to a little bigger. There was no way to use it as it was so tiny!

The room was far better than we expected. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants. USB charging ports in the bedside lamps which was handy. Good blackout curtains which are essential at this time of year! Callum was lovely and a trove of information on local attractions and venues.

Great value for money. Nice spacious room. Host Callum very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and places to see.

Wick is not a destination itself but a convenient place to stay at lower cost in the far north mainland of Scotland

Very clean and good location. Callum was very pleasant and informative, helping with restaurant recommendations and the number for drivers so we could get around.. we would have preferred a room with one bed and a bathroom on suite but it was still a good value. Thanks!

Callum was a brilliant host. Everything was provided for. Knowledgeable. And the pie and mash supper downstairs in the bar was well-priced, tasty and a real bonus.

Comfortable beds, helpful and knowledgeable host. Friendly staff. Although bathroom across the landing, it was nice big bathroom and a good shower. Maybe a towel rail to hang damp towels would be helpful.

3 flights of stairs to our room. Not having any chairs to sit on. Quite noisy with the window open for fresh air. Muted noise when window closed.

wick very run down Accommodation Front aspect looked terrible Thought it was shut, run down no one home. Thought we were to find more accomodations as we were possibly scammed ! Got worried 😫 Concerned if car was safe.

I didn't actually stay very long, arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning. The location by the harbour and close to the bus stop was what I needed and I found the owner to be friendly and a mine of useful local information.

No real concerns. There was no breakfast but I knew that in advance and came prepared.

The property is extremely central, with beautiful views of the surrounding buildings and of the sea. Everything’s close by and easily accessible by foot. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful, they’ll give you some amazing recommendations of places to eat, sights to see on your stay and welcome you down to join them at the bar during the evening. It’s a great place to meet the locals and get a proper Wick experience. The rooms are cozy, and spacious, with everything one might need for their stay. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and this is by far my favourite.

It's an amazing combo of stay and pub, the charm of being traditional and happening at the same time. The property has its unique vibe.

Washroom was privet but not adjusted, provided the facilities its nothing unlikeable at all.
