No breakfast
I did not stay here in the end, a very poor looking property, up a grotty side street. Could have been a homeless hostel or a brothel

It's only good point was the view of the sea. Even in the cold blustery weather, the sea view was noteworthy. The room is quite high up so you get a good view of it.
Gaps around the window letting cold wind in enough to move my hair. Freezing cold, small, damp room above what looks like an Indian take away. Noisy. Smelly. The host grasp of the English language and communication skills were bad. My colleague went back to the car. He would rather sleep on the back of a Ford Focus than sleep in this room - which was only mildly better that sleeping on a park bench outside. Personally, I would advise Booking.com to remove this place from their website. It is a disgrace and an embarrassment. Not fit for purpose what so ever.

leaving.
no reception just a dirty room with a phone number on the wall, a man meets you who can barley speak a word of English to show you to their disgusting rooms.
spare toilet on landing was filthy, holes in wall, plaster off. toilet off trainspotting sprang to mind.
out of the window was the bad garden where they had thrown waist, rubbish, RAT attraction if I've ever seen one!
Smelly stale rooms, i was moved on my request and both rooms were smelt stale.
First room, dirty broken blinds
First bedroom stain on the bed.
Scruffy windows in both rooms
Broken TV in the first room, had the cheek to ask if i had broken it. tv also lost signal in second room
Un hoovered carpets, when lifting feet onto the bed it brought up all the filth and debris.
Both bathrooms were heavy with mould, in the showers and around sink taps. hygiene hazard to anyone with health conditions. both bathrooms had clear marks of spit that had ran down the walls, on the mirrors, and taps.
There was no wardrobe to put clothing away, a flimsy box frame with bar across.
The second room i was placed in was a double and it looked as though someone had slept in one of the beds.
The decor was appalling dirty and outdated
I drove to the local tesco as it was late bought my own bedding to sleep with including blanket. i woke after a horrendous nights sleep to find the place was cold, checked radiator off cold, checked the water off cold. i believed i was the only person to have the displeasure of staying there and they'd forgotten to put the boiler on. i didn't stay my remaining pre paid days and left 6am unwashed to find somewhere else.
There's loads of smaller dirty details I'm not listing.
DO NOT STAY IN THIS DECREPIT DIRTY HOVEL.
IM REPORTING THIS PLACE TO THE INVIORMENTAL HEALTH!!!

Location
DO NOT STAY HERE.
Broken window the wind was howling so unable to sleep. I had to change room. Dirty and smelly bed sheets in 2nd room. No water to drink in room. Expected to fill kettle from bathroom. No towels. Broken toilet brush. Sink was filthy with old toothpaste. Pay the extra £8 and stay somewhere else. Talking to locals who said they read the reviews when they want a laugh! This place needs a total refresh. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Big improvement from last time , rooms much cleaner

The room looked pretty much as the picture (although one headboard was wonky), but to be fair £65 for last minute accommodation- it was fine.
Quite difficult to find, even family living in Wick didn’t know about it or where it was!

Location was excellent although parking was not good as we had to park in the main square and had music equipment in the car.

Room warm, clean beds ok. Plenty of wall plugs including a power board set between the twin beds.
Quiet end of town.
There is a small supermarket, Premier, about 5 min walk away.
Friendly reception man showed us to the room.
Reception dingy and basic.
Basic i.e. no door on the wardrobe.
Two steep flights of steps up to the room.
Watch out for the end of High St it is a pedestrian mall with limited access with those pop up bollards if you don’t have the access ID.
View out the window on the stairs was a bit grim.

It had two single beds for two people.
The bedding was not changed. There was dust. Didn’t see anyone around apart from someone opened the door for us.

Very central to the village, room was a little snug but good enough for a one night stay
All good

I liked the shower.
I didn’t like how my room was away from everywhere else and also some random person tried to open my door from outside (young kids or whatever from the public) and then threw a can of something at my door. Whilst my 7 year old daughter was terrified! So I did not have a good experience here

The location is great. Free parking nearby, only a few yards away.
It is very basic accommodation with no bar or restaurant.

The man at reception could not have been more friendly and welcoming. It made a very positive initial impression. He arranged a taxi for me when I left.
The hotel is wrongly listed as 4 stars, even on Google maps, which is the reason for most of the negative reviews. It is a good 2-star hotel.

This is not an Inn, not even a Guest house, as you would get some form of breakfast, this is rooms above a vacant shop, in my room I had booked a double room, got a twin, TV didn’t work, the list goes on , how Booking.com can grade this a 4 star, I just don’t know
Not much

Central location. Walks start outside the door. Really nice cafe across the road for food, especially for breakfast.
Car parking not on site. There is free parking immediately next to the river behind the accommodation. An easy 50 metre walk away, though.

I liked the welome when I arrived. The room was very pleasant with plenty of space and quirky features. You could
feel the history of the place.
The bedside light didn't work. Not sure if it was the bulb. But was tired anyway.

Nothing!!! The windows were filthy and could barely see in.The place is far from a hotel. Its not a hotel as I have seen,I would never stay in a hotel? Like this shambles and my advice to you is to take it off your site immediately .I never stayed in this hotel, more than 5 minutes and left and had to go looking for alternative accommodation, which I can I'll afford.I would like you to check this place out before your name is blackened even more and dear knows what holiday makers from outside Scotland think of our hotels if this is what you are offering I will be complaining to the local authorities as to how this place has a licence as a hotel and writing to the local press in Wick to look into this place as a hotel and hopefully something is done before another pensioner like me loses their money.

It was not a hotel as such,
just a room up stair in an
old building with a reception
area at street level in a disused
shop.

Basic hotel and as a place for basic accommodation it is very good value for money. Would not use it for a romantic getaway.
Hotel is in a walking street. Public parking is available within a short distance.

My short stay was really great at Caithness Inn. I was warmly welcomed at the lobby by the hotel staff. The hotel was exceptionally clean and had great facilities. There were generous amount of tea and coffee available throughout my stay. The location is fantastic as it is close to Wick station which was helpful when travelling to other parts of the Highland. It was very clean and comfortable. Will stay again and recommend to others!
Historical small town, perhaps others might be attracted to.

I had a pleasant stay at the Caithness Inn, it was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and Salman was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. Place has been newly decorated so rooms were very clean. Even though they don’t serve breakfast, they have good options for lunch and drinks nearby. They even offer 10% off at nearby takeaways.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I can see that the place has been newly refurbished and everything was really clean including the bathroom, which also had toiletries such as shampoo and body wash. The rooms also had tea and coffee which I thought was value for money. The location was good as I needed to travel around the Wick area.
Nothing.

The bed and pillows were ok. The room was fairly well presented. The manager arrived fairly quickly after phoning the number.
First of all, it’s not an inn. It’s some redecorated rooms in a fairly dilapidated town house above a shop which the management use. There is no reception so we had to call a number to have the manager come let us in. The hallway leading up some stairs had a filthy carpet.
The bathroom had no shelves for toiletries and the shower door was very narrow. There were no toiletries provided like soap, shampoo or conditioner.
The TV remote didn’t work, but the manager came promptly to replace it.
We weren’t confident that the carpet was clean enough to walk on without shoes.
The window was ill fitting and there was a draught blowing thought it.
There is no car park for the house and there is a public car park nearby with no security.
The location might be regarded as good being right in the centre of Wick, but there are so many closed and neglected shops that it really is a ghost town with very little to do.
We paid £90 for one night and I’d say that it’s worth £50 at most.
