Exceptional location on Royal Mile. In historic building. Clean. You’re right in the midst of it. Lovely bar Jolly Judge next door.

Bed broke, but was rectified promptly. The stairs can become a chore in hot weather - narrow, winding staircase to access.

The apartment itself was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the historic aspects of it. Getting the codes to get into the building was confusing but the staff was very helpful.

Getting up into the apartment with luggage was incredibly difficult. There is a very narrow staircase from the sidewalk to the door, and then 4 flights of a VERY narrow spiral staircase to get to the 4th floor apartment. The other floors are part of a museum and sometimes there were other people on the stairs. This is only for the very able bodied with very small bags. We are fit, but we had medium size suitcases and it was close to impossible to navigate the stairs. The other issue was that there is construction on the street below that starts at 7 am.
