A lovely place to stay

Nick and Andrew couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Their attention to detail was first class and the breakfast was excellent. We made use of their EV Charger without any problems and they even gave us a bottle of Prosecco as it was our anniversary. Would highly recommend staying here.

Exceptional what more can I say ❤️

Greeted with friendly welcoming smiles from Andrew and Nick bags taken to our room . Cream tea on arrival which was gorgeous. Spotlessly clean room , all the tea and coffee we wanted , extremely comfortable bed slept like a log . Breakfast was amazing cooked to perfection and really set us up for the day . We stayed for 5 nights and loved every day, spoilt by Nick and Andrew throughout our stay . It was my birthday Sunday , they recommended a lovely hotel which did the best Sunday roasts and made a reservation on our behalf , nothing was to much trouble . Once back in our room Nick and Andrew brought up a chilled bottle of champagne from them for us to celebrate my Birthday. Nick and Andrew are the nicest people you will ever meet , fantastic hoists . 5* across the board . Arrived as guests left at friends . Thank you so much guys , can’t wait to come back and stay with you again xx

Andrew and Nick were the perfect hosts. From the moment they greeted us to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble. They greeted us with tea and treats on arrival and made sure there were gluten-free treats for my wife aswell.

Grosvenor House has a wonderful atmosphere: a historical building with completely new interior and beautifully decorated with many treasures to discover - just awesome. Our room was spotless with really everything you might need. The bed is comfy and we liked having a walk-in-shower. Our hosts Nick and Andrew are the nicest we ever had. As a super welcome they served us a Devon cream tea. They were always ready with information we asked for and they recommended very good restaurants and could book us a table. The cooked breakfast was perfect in a lovely room. The evening before we had to tick a list with an offer of everything you might wish for your breakfast. We could feel that Nick and Andrew love what they're doing and care for their guests to make the stay in Grosvenor House as pleasant as possible. Meet as strangers and leave as friends.

We disliked to say goodbye. Three nights were not enough...

The Grosvenor House is absolutely fantastic. Nick and Andrew are exceptionally good hosts. They made our stay an excellent experience. They are very friendly, kind, and lovely people. The place is immaculately clean, and the decor of the house is truly impressive. The downstairs living room and dining room look absolutely gorgeous and reflect the artistic soul of the owners. Our room was fantastic and spotless. The bed was really comfortable — I slept like a baby! The breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. We absolutely loved the place, and we loved Nick and Andrew. You’re doing a wonderful job, and we wish you all the best. We will definitely be back at Grosvenor House again. Thank you, Anna and Mike

Excellent - highly recommended

We had an excellent 2 night stay. The hosts were amazing and made us feel so welcome. They were extremely helpful and attentive. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with great facilities. We stayed at Grosvenor House for 5 days and came away feeling as if we had had a proper holiday.

What an amazing place to stay! Andrew and Nick have managed to make Grosvenor House the equivalent of a small Boutique hotel! Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived. From helping us to bring our luggage in from the car, scones and cream brought to our room on arrival, and the the amazing breakfasts every day. We have nothing but praise for this incredible Guest House. The room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, fluffy white towels in the ensuite and an extremely comfortable bed. This was the best Guest House we have ever stayed in, we could not fault it.

Amazing hosts who were the right amount of attentive, made sure everything was good without being overbearing. The whole house is beautiful furnished and decorated. The bed was comfortable, and extra pillows and bedding available. Breakfast was perfect and offered a wide variety of choices.

Beautiful tastefully decorated house, located in the heart of Ilfracombe on a very quiet street. Spacious, very clean room, large bathroom. Very tasty breakfast :) The owners are an absolute delight: friendly, charming, professional and helpful. We felt like we've been known them for years. A real home from home experience. As soon as we pulled into the drive Nick came out to greet us and take our bags. We were then treated to a cream tea … scones still warm from the oven. We stayed 3 nights. Returning from a walk on the afternoon of the second day, we mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary (number 50). Shortly afterwards came a knock on our door. There stood Nick and Andrew, carrying a bottle of bubbly for us to celebrate our extra-special occasion. Such a wonderful gesture. We invited them to share the bottle with us, and whilst we drank and chatted we discovered that they (Andrew in particular) are especially fond of the chocolates we’d brought with us. We’d asked Nick and Andrew to recommend local restaurants, but we didn’t use them… the excellent and ample breakfasts were sufficient for the whole day. In summary, the service, cleanliness, attention to detail, courtesy, and friendless were second to none. Thanks gents!

Such a lovely place to stay in Ilfracombe. Would definitely recommend. The breakfast was delicious, the hosts were super friendly and helpful. We were able to park the car. I’m coeliac and they went out of their way to provide me with sweet treats instead of the chocolate croissant that everyone else got. The bed was comfortable and the shower had a good pressure. Couldn’t fault the place. I also loved the stained glass windows and high ceilings.

Nice & clean BnB with great hosts

A lovely clean BnB with friendly and helpful hosts. Our room was spacious, with en-suite, tea and coffee facilities etc. The breakfast is fantastic. Great location for the wedding at The Tunnels, but also an easy walk to restaurants in the area. Recommended if you're looking for a good quality BnB in the area. We left out car o the drive for the weekend, which was also handy.

No complaints about the BnB. The large hotel next door is currently derelict which doesn't look great, but refurbishment appears to be under way. In any case this doesn't affect the BnB really.

Fabulous value for money accommodation.

My wife and I recently needed a few days accommodation in Ilfracombe whilst visiting family members who were staying at a self-catering property nearby. Grosvenor House popped up on my Booking.com search and seeemed to have everything that we required. We were not disappointed. Grosvenor House is a small hotel but big on character, cleanliness, rooms that have been modernised to a high standard and a wonderful welcome from our hosts Nick and Andrew. The reception rooms are decorated with vases, tapestries and other high quality items collected over the years and reflect the high standards set by Nick and Andrew. The breakfast choices were many, including continental and vegetarian options, with the hot dishes being wonderfully prepared and cooked by Andrew and served with a smile by Nick. Nothing was too much trouble for these wonderful hosts and my wife and I will certainly stay with them again next time we are in the area. Very, very highly recommended.
