Great room (with unusual bath in bedroom) and service. Breakfast was fantastic.

Fantastic stay. Beautiful room and view. Fantastic owner and breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone. Try and get room 5 beautiful.

This is two beautiful Georgian houses in lovely ancient Fore Street (about half way down the hill). We always stay in Room 5, an exceptionally beautiful and spacious room with a huge bow window looking out over the sea, plus a delightful en-suite with shower and a jacuzzi-bath. The bed in this room is a super-king size sleigh bed, divinely comfortable, with excellent quality bedding. For the greater comfort of guests there’s a fridge in the wardrobe with two wine-glasses. Plus the usual tea/coffee facilities. This is the only time in a year that I eat three meals per day, as Jo’s breakfasts are superb and irresistibly delicious (then we have to have lunch at S&P’s fish bar, then dinner at Giovanni & Luca’s). It couldn’t be in a better location, halfway between the High St and the harbour, and a few short steps from the Ropery car park, where you can leave your car for £15 per day. So, perfection for lovers of Georgian architecture.

Georgian builders were not very attentive to the issue of noise, and you can hear every footfall made by the people in the room above you. But this is a small problem.
