When staying in Ilfracombe, definitely recommend The Devonshire Villa.

We had a terrific stay. B&B is up hill from town, so we drove to the restaurants in the evening. Important parking was available, one of the reasons chose the B&B. Suggest reversing into car space as on a main road. Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts are brilliant - set you up for the day. Amanda and Matt are marvellous hosts.

Matt and Amanda were really helpful with local places to visit and local places with good food etc.

The Cooked Breakfast was all freshly cooked with local ingredients , and a lovely choice of cereals, muesli and fruit juices to start. Also locally made marmalades for your toast etc.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay.

It was very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of choices for breakfast, the owners are very friendly and welcoming. They made my husband’s birthday more special. They provide the guests with Amanda’s delicious chocolate cookies. I recommend the place to everyone. And if ever we would go to that area of Devon again, we will definitely stay there.

Accommodation met our needs and owners very social.

Warm welcome, small room and en suite but very quaint. No wardrobe due to room size but perfect for one night stay. Breakfast wonderful and location 25. minute walk to the harbor. Lots of options for eating out.

A surprisingly enjoyable place to stay with a little bit of spoiling from your hosts.

This is place is a work in progress with several beautifully renovated rooms and common areas. Absolutely comfortable. Spotless. The rooms have little extras that you wouldn’t necessarily expect. The hosts were great fun and very helpful. Breakfast was really good.

The venue is a 10-15 minute walk to the shops and harbour. Worth the walk and good for you but this may be an issue for some folk.

The Devonshire Villa was fantastic. Amazing hosts, really comfortable rooms and an incredible breakfast. We were greeted on arrival and the friendly hosts got us checked in and comfortable. Nothing was too much and we were made to feel very welcome. Thanks for a great stay!

A little gem.

Our stay was for 4 nights. Matt & Amanda were exceptional hosts. Ideally located, 15-20 minute walk to the harbour area. Gave us some good advice of places to see and recommendations of the best places to eat in the area. Made us feel very welcome. Even left us a couple of chocolate muffins in our room as it was my birthday 😋 Room was spotless. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room, Mini fridge was a bonus Loved the full English breakfast, but there was plenty of other healthy options.

Great option to consider.

Great hosts with a wealth of local knowledge. The facilities were clean and the breakfast was superb. The electric door locking feature gave an enhanced sense of security during your stay. Would definitely look to return again in the future.

Great place to stay

Amanda & Matt were fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful with advice on places to visit or eat. Nothing was to much trouble. The room was really lovely, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast in the morning was a lovely selection, catering to individual dietary requirements, and the cooked breakfast was fantastic, especially the poached eggs. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

Perfect accommodation for a comfortable stay

Communication pre booking, customer service and warm welcome, interior decor of entire property, comfort of room, lighting, push carpets, exquisite decorations, delicious breakfast with a goid choice of options. Everything was carefully presented and a real credit to the owners. The property is conveniently located with parking to the front.

Very nice B&B .Amanda and Matt were very friendly and helpful nothing was to much for them.

The location was about a 20 min walk to the harbour but there is a bus stop outside of the B&B which ran every half hour if you did not fancy the walk so it was not a problem . The beds were very comfy ,shower good ,everywhere was very clean, Amanda and Matt were excellent really helpful . wonderful breakfast.

Good room and breakfast, shame there isnt really a shower

Breakfast was very good . Room was well decorated and clean . Not keen on bedsteads but mattress was comfy

The outside is not very appealing upon arrival . We actually wondered if we had the right place ! But the main problem as commented on by other reviewers was the quality of the shower . The flow is so low that its hard to get the shampoo out of your hair . We did mention it and it sounds like it wont be getting any better soon!

Not much to complain about. The only thing was there was a nearby house having a pretty loud party, no fault of the B&B but we shut the window which improved things.

The landlords were accommodating, friendly and approachable. They showed they cared for the guests which we appreciated.

Spacious clean rooms with all the amenities. Fresh bedding and towels. Our room was equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, fan, tv, hairdryer and fresh milk. The breakfast was delightful and filling.

Made our stay in Ilfracombe a better experience.

With my friend we went to do the Lundy Half Marathon and needed a base The room was immaculate and bed comfy. Also hosts got up early to do me a runners breakfast on the day of the race. Normal breakfast on our leaving day was very good.

A shining example of what a good B&B should be.

We spent just the one night but it was absolutely lovely. The owners combine warm friendliness with utmost professionalism. The bedroom was beautifully appointed with everything you could need, sumptuous. Breakfast was brilliant with an excellent choice of quality options that demonstrated that using first class products really makes a difference. Highly recommended

The hotel has recently been upgraded to the highest standards. The owners Matt & Amanda were very welcoming and thoughtful. The breakfast was probably one of the best breakfasts we have ever had....plenty of selection and it was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Ilfracombe.....we will definitely be returning for another visit....thank you both for a wonderful stay.
