JOIVY 1 Bed flat, Heart of Grassmarket

The location is fantastic & it’s a very spacious apartment in a truly great & central area

Check in was awful - I didn’t know I would have to pay either £25 up front non refundable sable or £250 deposit - this wasn’t clear. You have to do this yourself get the door code - this took 45 mins. When I got the code I couldn’t open the lock box - it’s v high & requires 2 hands to push in the sides to release the ‘door’ - I only have the use of one hand - it was v v difficult - other people have referred to the poor positioning etc. don’t book if you are arriving in the dark it’s too difficult - otherwise all good

Centrally located in the Grassmarket. The apartment had everything you need if you are trying to be self sufficient. Comfortable, clean, secure and quiet. We loved it!

The location was fantastic. Not surprisingly, at a very central location, it was quite noisy. However because the bedroom was at the back, the noise from the street / square did not bother us. The layout was nice and everything worked well.

The noise that did bother us was the construction noise in the store below and their cavalier attitude about the timing of it, which was near midnight. The number of steps to get into the apartment was frustrating and it was awkward only having one set of keys for two people. The area between the front gate and the apartment was dirty and littered.

Bem localizado, onde tudo acontece em Edimburgo. O apartamento é relativamente grande, cozinha muito boa.

O local, ainda que numa área bem central e de fácil locomoção, é bastante barulhento, inclusive à noite. O aquecedor é programado para desligar no máximo em duas horas, o que, durante a noite, é muito ruim, porque vc está dormindo e não tem como religar. Minha mãe dormiu no quarto e eu, na sala, mas só tinha um edredon. Pedi outro, por conta desse problema de desligamento automático do aquecedor, e me cobraram 20 libras por isso. Paguei, para não congelar durante o sono, mas uma sacanagem, já que estávamos em dois, só havia um edredon e o aquecedor tem uma programação inexplicável para o frio que faz no lugar.
