Cozy Apt at Edinburgh Castle, Parking

Overall excellent property and fantastic location. It is right in the heart of old town and right near the castle. Very clean well appointed apartment for an all adult family of 5. Beds were very comfortable.

Living room is a bit small but we weren’t in it much.

The location was fantastic as it was really by the castle. There was complimentary carpark, about 8 minutes walk away. The host was responsive when we ran out of toilet rolls and one of the bulbs in the living room/kitchen just blew, and they sent a person to replace next morning. Appreciate it.

There was a lot of stairs to take to get there, and the drive in to drop luggage was almost impossible as the Google map did not show us the right way to get to the street and the main street was closed off for holiday weekend. The car park had tight entrance and we had trouble entering and exiting, as we drove a large van. Having one set of keys for 5 adults was troublesome, as we had to co-ordinate coming back to the apartment, else we could not enter. A bit noisy as the bagpipes play all day long.

Het appartement is oké maar de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding niet. Het is vrij duur in vergelijking met andere appartementen in de buurt. Ik had namelijk ook nog een ander appartement gehuurd voor familie die ook naar het huwelijk kwam. Dat was de helft van de prijs en veel beter en ruimer. Er zijn wel 3 kamers maar op de kamers geraak je amper je koffer kwijt. Het appartement is erg klein en verouderd. Dampkap en oven werkten niet, lavabo in toilet lekte. De keuken, tevens de woonkamer, is heel erg klein. Er staan ook te veel spullen in zodat het onhandig is. Ontbijten met 4 personen aan het tafeltje is erg krap. Het is wel een leuke plaats. We hebben een fijne tijd gehad maar ik zou het appartement niet meer huren. Fijn dat de toegangscode 2 dagen op voorhand werd gecommuniceerd. dat geeft rust tijdens het reizen.
