Cozy Apt at Edinburgh Castle, Parking

Overall, I was happy with my stay. The property is in a very central location, which made it convenient to get around. I also appreciated the detailed welcome booklet — it answered almost every question I had about the property and the surrounding area. Communication with the host was excellent throughout my stay.

I found the property to be a bit older than it appeared in the photos. I also expected some essentials to be provided. For a three-day stay, it would have been nice to have toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and hand soap available. Having to choose between buying these items and leaving them behind or carrying them back home seemed unnecessary. Considering the price charged for the stay, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a few basic supplies. Finally, the property accommodates up to six guests, and there were five of us staying. I understand that the property charges an additional fee for bed sheets, so only five beds were made up. However, the bed that was left without a sheet happened to be the one that would have worked best for our sleeping arrangement, which made things unnecessarily difficult for us. I understand the policy, but I think there could be a more flexible way of handling this, such as allowing guests to choose which bed is left unused. The main problem was we only discovered one of the beds had no bed sheet when we turned down the duvet at bedtime. Since all the beds were made up with bedspreads, there was no way to tell in advance which bed hadn't been prepared. Imagine everyone had already said goodnight and gone to bed, only for one person to realise that there were no sheets underneath the duvet. This created an unnecessary inconvenience, as we all had to get up in the middle of the night and rearrange our sleeping arrangements to resolve the situation. It would have been much better if this had been made clear before our arrival or if the unused bed had been clearly identified.

Location was incredible, right in the heart of everything

It was quite noisy. There was a neighbour using a buzz saw at 2 in the morning. Hot water wasn’t working in the kitchen.

Overall excellent property and fantastic location. It is right in the heart of old town and right near the castle. Very clean well appointed apartment for an all adult family of 5. Beds were very comfortable.

Living room is a bit small but we weren’t in it much.

Het appartement is oké maar de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding niet. Het is vrij duur in vergelijking met andere appartementen in de buurt. Ik had namelijk ook nog een ander appartement gehuurd voor familie die ook naar het huwelijk kwam. Dat was de helft van de prijs en veel beter en ruimer. Er zijn wel 3 kamers maar op de kamers geraak je amper je koffer kwijt. Het appartement is erg klein en verouderd. Dampkap en oven werkten niet, lavabo in toilet lekte. De keuken, tevens de woonkamer, is heel erg klein. Er staan ook te veel spullen in zodat het onhandig is. Ontbijten met 4 personen aan het tafeltje is erg krap. Het is wel een leuke plaats. We hebben een fijne tijd gehad maar ik zou het appartement niet meer huren. Fijn dat de toegangscode 2 dagen op voorhand werd gecommuniceerd. dat geeft rust tijdens het reizen.
