Location good

The noise outside the flat overnight was horrendous and I got absolutely no sleep. Lorries delivering to the bars overnight I assume. In addition no mirror other than in bathroom so impossible to use straighteners. And bed repaired with duct tape. Not like the photos. The comment about the photos on the booking email that these are just representative of the property colllection is true.. they are of a much nicer property than this!

The location, the amenities, how homely it felt, and how there’s a gentleman just outside who (for a small amount) lets you hold owls or even an eagle!

The stairwell, it didn’t feel very cosy or match the vibe of the rooms. The size of the towels, they were on the smaller side.

Great location and lovely room.

Location is superb and despite being a self check in situation you can feel the hospitality of the room. The shower was lovely and pressure was great, bed was also very comfy. 10/10 would stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay! The room is on a busy street but we didn't feel disturbed or like we couldn't open a window.

Only add on would be that there isn't anywhere to put toiletries in the bathroom so a shelf would be great! We weren't a big fan of the provided soaps/shampoos but that's most likely personal preference.

It was a beautiful apartment in a really convenient location in the center, great amenities, really clean, wonderful interactions with the owners of the property, very clear instructions for check in.

Can be quite loud as it is right on the royal mile, but it's well worth it to stay anyway.

The location was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t be better in terms of being right on the Royal Mile. The character of the place can’t be beat. It was so comfortable and central to everything. Honestly we loved it so much

The only things we would suggest is having a laundry washing machine that had a built in dryer. The balcony could use a little clean up. Other than that it was just amazing

The accommodation was very nicely furnished and everything necessary was available. The location definitely doesn't get any better. You're right in the middle of the action.

Unfortunately, the smoke detectors are positioned a bit stupidly, which is why they started 2x during the toaster use.

The apartment is perfectly located in the old town, with plenty of shops, cafes and hotels nearby. The apartment had a washing machine, which was a bonus. The apartment was easy to find, and the check-in instructions were easy to follow.

Fantastic location! Really cozy room with a kitchenette and a washing machine. Check-in was perfect,-very good information from the owners. The Royal Mile outside your window, but still very quiet at night. Cafes, pubs, restaurants and shopping on your doorstep,-and Scotland's first cat cafe just a few minutes walk away! Close to all the historical buildings-you are right in the middle of it all! I will definitely be back!😊

Great location for Fringe and old town.

The owners need to repair the window blinds, the left hand one does not hold closed. The bedroom needs a mirror. The bathroom needs a shelf to put toiletries. The towel rail is off during the summer making it difficult to dry towels. More than 2 coat hangers are required.

Heart of the old city

Location was excellent - 3 minutes to castle. Fridge, microwave and hob available in room if you wanted to self catering.. Fringe festival street artists performing outside the window. Easy and clear key collection instructions.

There was a funny smell in the room - maybe the bin? There was only sachets of shampoo no shower gel. Hard to open when in the shower. Window old and grubby. Lots of street noise. Bin collection and beer keg delivery ar 6am.

Wonderful experience

The location is superb, 1-minute walk to the Cathedral, maximum 10-15 minutes to the majority of touristic spots. Also, the railway station and tram from the airport are nearby. The room was clean, and the amenities were perfect. The instruction provided for key collection was very detailed and clear.

We were quite impressed with the room once we got into it, maybe better truthfulness from Booking.co

The location was great to get to the Military Tattoo. The room and toilet were impressively appointed, and bed was very comfortable. We did not use the kitchenette, but everything was extremely clean. Loved being on the 1st floor!

We could not arrive anywhere even close to the apartment as all close streets were blocked. Parked rent car in street, took a taxi as close as possible, and dragged luggage the rest. Got a ticket, of course. Also, not owner’s fault but Booking stated a lift was available except for upper rooms, but we didn’t find out There’s no lift until we booked a non-refundable room.

The room was self catering and had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable. The location was bang in the middle of the Royal Mile...within easy distance for everything. Pubs,clubs and restaurants. Loads to see and do.

Excellent location as walking distance to most main attractions! Great Amenities! Including laundry machine. There is so much to see in Edinburgh. I definitely want to return. And staff very kindly responded and posted back to us our (left behind) lost property, for which we are most grateful.

Difficult to find parking nearby to unload luggage. Therefore, we had to cart our luggage over 3 flights of stairs 🙄 😑 from parking garage.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Didn't let us know about major roadworks directly below us even though they knew we had drilling of the road next to us all day from early in the morning. Broken guttering meant when it rains the water crashes down against the outer window but is so loud it sounds like it's in the room.with you meaning you will get 1 hours sleep if your lucky. The worst part is there is 0 customer service from this company and I mean 0. After telling them what had happened we were told 'not our problem' asked to wait and then when we chased up our calls ignored and a Text message telling us again that they were willing to do nothing to help us. We were exhausted from no sleep due to to the rain and then had the drilling start back up at 8am we had to leave the apartment 2 days early and check into another hotel which was amazing! They will not refund us any of our money and will not respond to any emails they are interested only in taking your money AVOID!!!!!

Had difficulty with the lockbox to secure key but Julia responded immediately to my call and the cleaning person helped me obtain the keys. The rest was easy.

2 nights on the Royal Mile

The location was great, the bed super comfy and the room was very clean. It even had a little kitchen area with a mini fridge and washing machine. I requested an early check in, and the host was very accommodating. Communication was good through the app, which was important since there is no reception. Instructions for getting into the apartment were very complete and easy to follow.

The entrance and stairwell were very dark and dingy. Several of the lights were out, and coming in alone at night was a little scary. Also, the shower was a little tricky, and it took me a few tries to figure it out.

Great location and cosy stay in the Old town

The apartment is just right for two people with large suitcases. It’s in a perfect location—right in Old Town, across from Deacon’s House Café, a short walk to the Castle and Victoria Street, and less than 10 minutes to Princes Street Gardens and the shopping area. It’s also close to the train station, making day trips to Glasgow very convenient. The room was comfortable, well-equipped, and Julia the host was super helpful and responsive. We had everything we needed.

There’s no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up—but luckily it's only on the 2nd floor. Also, there was some street noise in the morning and evening from tourists, plus road construction during our stay.

Compact & historic accommodation right on the Royal Mile

Location - on The Royal Mile. We were only in Edinburgh for 3 nights so to be right in the thick of it suited us. Lovely old building too.

It is small (which we expected). Road works (outside of the property’s control) added a bit of noise. They should be completed soon. (We stayed late April 2025).

Great location, responsive hosts, and a fabulous city to visit!

The location was excellent, we very much appreciated having the facility to make our meals in the room. The accommodation was cute and comfortable. The host was responsive with our hiccup of missing key upon arrival - they responded quickly and provided a recognition of the inconvenience.

Nothing comes to mind! We plan to stay here should we return to Edinburgh - which we definitely plan to do!

Location. Location. Location. This place was ideally located on the Royal Mile. It was clean and perfect for what we needed. Nice to have a refrigerator to have cold water handy.

The window was over the kitchenette shelf making the window and shade very hard to reach. We needed to use a hanger to hook the shade and pull it down.
