Royal Mile Budget Apartments

Location, comfort, amenities

The stairs were an effort with big bags

Location

VERY steep stairs with no handrail.

clear and full directions provided by host for collecting the keys the flat was spotless and its location is great though the mass of tourists on the street is astonishing and rather horrifying, the flat itself is very quiet a blocked bathroom washbasin was fixed right away the spiral stair entry (42 steps) is attractively medieval

the double bed is comfy but the comforter is not very good and has a bad cover the sofa-bed is not good even for sitting the dining chairs are wobbly, one dangerously so the cane chair seat is a wreck, although it's hidden under a cushion only two very mismatched tumbler glasses provided the water pump, in a closet right by the bed, runs whenever water is used in the bathroom (including refilling the wc) and it's *VERY* LOUD/NOISY one of the four windows has neither blind nor curtain (but we don't close those anyway, so no problem for us) the spiral stair entry (42 steps) rope handrail is entirely missing .. my wife found the stair difficult

Its in city center.

No lift, old building. No sound proofing so you can hear the floor above us.spiral staircase is not very convenient for us because we have an elderly.
