Lovely apartment in a truly wonderful location

This is a really lovely holiday apartment in an fantastic location (just a few minutes up the street is the beautiful and historic part of Ludwigstrasse). We were a family of four so it was more than enough space for us and would have been good for a bigger group too. Beds were comfy, bathrooms lovely (see small comment on bath below) , the whole place was very clean, and it was nice to have so much living space including a nice big dining table. We were here for a week and it was definitely the most comfortable and relaxed part of our holiday. G-P and the surrounding is just so lovely, with amazing hiking , fantastic swimming (don't miss a swim in Eibsee, or the swimming pool at Grainau if you have children) and we did everything on public transport too and got around really easily.

It was lovely to have a nice big balcony, though (to be very picky) it would have been nice to have a full set of cushions on the furniture. I had an issue with the bath when I was there...only wanted to use it once after a long walk but it seemed the plug was a little too small for the hole and water kept slowly draining out..I couldn't find a way to fix it. This was no big deal- the shower was lovely , but it would be great if the owner could have a look at this for future guests. The only thing we would have more of a moan about would be the arrangements for collecting the key, which had to be collected and returned to the other side of G-P. We did not have a hire car and arrived by train with big back packs so we had to store our luggage at the station to walk to get the key, and then come and pick it up again to go to the apartment, then the same on the way home. There was also a request to take our glass recycling over to the same office at the end of the stay but this really was not practical on foot so we did not do this (and hoped the owners would understand why we had to leave it there). With a hire car picking up the key really would not have been a problem but perhaps the owners could think a bit more about arrangements for people who are using public transport?.

Very good

The location of the apartment from the train station was good. The apartment was very nice, had plenty of room and was nice to stay in.

Picking up the keys was the only downside to our stay. We arrived by train, so we had to either walk or take a taxi to pick up the keys, then return to the apartment. My only complaint for the weekend.
