The atmosphere and styling of the accommodation is great and it does not only look good but everything worked well and resulted in a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

What's NOT to like? We LOVED our visit and will return again! Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. It was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was absolutely charming. We loved all the Bavarian painted furniture and murals. We loved the fox pillow!😊

This hotel was a simple and comfortable place to stay. The room was cosy and the bed was pretty comfortable. It had all the useful amenities, like a kettle, toaster, fridge, crockery/cutlery and washing up facilities like washing up liquid. It was a 5-10 mins walk from restaurants in Grainau. We hired a car separately and enjoyed short drives to really beautiful hikes in the area. The regular bus to Eibsee (nearest lake) which was free with a Grainau guest card the hosts set us up with was very helpful as well as parking was expensive there. Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday here!

There were limited pictures of the room so we weren't sure what to expect. The bathroom had no window and the drain started to smell after a couple of days, but was otherwise okay. The 'patio' is just two garden chairs and a table outside the room door facing the car park so we didn't use it very much. We would have liked two pillows each as the pillows were quite flat but this wasn't a big deal. Some more tourist information about the area like leaflets etc would have been helpful to be included in the room.

+ Amazing location with a wonderful view + Relatively close to the bus and the cog wheel train stations + Private entrance + Beautiful and quiet room + There’s a coffee machine and a kettle + Huge bed + Extra table outside of the property + The place is in the shade most of the day, so it is relatively cool despite the heat during summertime

- Very dusty in the room, in case you are allergic (I am). The place in general could use a bit of touching up (peeled off paint, scratches here and there, spiderwebs everywhere) - There is road construction/repairs on the way to the property, which we were not informed about. Considering this was during a major heatwave and we were on foot, we had to take a big loop around the town to reach the destination after taking the intended way first, that was obviously closed - Unstable Wi-Fi - Poor ventilation
