Bad communication, clean space.

It was very clean and cozy. We had a designated parking spot right outside the door.

We did not receive any checkin details until 4.5 hours after checkin time started. No breakfast included. We had to pay for a tourist tax and in return got a city card. We received this card the night before we checked out. (We stayed two nights.) Not much privacy in the bathroom - would not recommend for two people who are not comfortable with that.

An stay at an authentically Bavarian house

Such a quaint Bavarian house. Loved all of the hand painting, both inside and out. Loved being able to sit in the backyard and see the Zugspitz.

The restaurant in town only accepted cash. We also did not receive the town transportation/tourism card until 5am on the morning that we left.

A peaceful, beautifully designed mountain retreat — simply perfect for a relaxing family getaway.

This is a perfect place for relaxation — beautifully designed and equipped with absolutely everything you might need. The interior design is warm and charming, the rooms are very spacious, and the living area is perfect for cozy family evenings. The views from both the living room and the bedrooms are simply stunning. The location is also excellent: close to cafés and restaurants, and only a 7-minute drive from Garmisch. It truly feels like a fairytale place.

A very beautiful guesthouse with a unique atmosphere, a wonderful view from the windows, and excellent heating.

We really liked the charm, the surroundings, the atmosphere, the design, and the location. It was warm inside, and it was great that we could light the stove ourselves.

We would recommend paying attention to the terrace, as it has already been repaired once and some wooden parts are starting to come off. In the bathroom, the wall trim near the door is coming loose and might fall off soon. We’d also suggest that the cleaning team remove the cobwebs in the corners and on the ceiling beams — it would make the place look even nicer.

A magical room

This place was a great surprise as it’s exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious with a dining table, kettle, large wardrobe and even a wooden piano. There was also a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and clean. The bedroom was very well decorated and is very authentic. It felt like a fairytale! The cottage itself is also really nice and well located.

- Not easy to locate if you arrive by night as it's not very well lit - Separate blankets - City tax that you need to pay by cash or Paypal (not very convenient) - Parking space a bit tight if you or other guests have bigger cars

Wonderful countryside stay in an apartment with lots of character.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apt that is in the attic. Lots of country character and plenty of space, comfortable beds. Location is close to the charming center of Grainau and spectacular Eibsee lake- lots of other day trips by car are very accessible.

great place with stunning nature all around

The room was very nicely done (Bavarian style) and even though the bed looked small at first, especially the linen, it turned out a perfect match to sleep well. Very quiet and surrounded by nature with shops and restaurants all in walking distance...Bavarian beauty

Wifi wasn't working at all. Coffee is free but isn't put out generously. Bin wasn't emptied. The host and whatsapp/ technology seem a bit of a mismatch.

Good place in the Alps

Great location! The house is clean and cozy. Our apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which was really convenient. The view is great! About minuses: The dishwasher was out of order, for that type of money it is unacceptable And the barbecue facilities are the ones for all apartments which might cause some problems by grilling at the same time

CHARACTER!

What a unique property! It captures a time gone by. Heavily detailed with Bavarian woodwork, friezes and carving inside and out. Set amongst grand old trees which makes the property a little dark. Our apartment was huge and fully equipped in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. We were on an overnight stop so could not take advantage of what was offered. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Although I would not want to live here permanently we thought it a great experience. Parking was good and virtually on site. Our hostess was lovely with a warm heart.

Great location (just a few minutes' drive from Zugspitze and Lake Eibsee). Beautiful and comfortable apartment in a traditional Bavarian style. Great view of mountains from the windows. The host was very nice and friendly. We loved this place very much. Great for a family with kids.

Pleasant stay in this wonderful house.

The room is cozy with a dining table that is used for our breakfast. It is clean. We can park our van right inside the small courtyard of the house. The breakfast is amazing. The very nice host carried our orders to our room at the time we specified. The quantity and quality of breakfast is very satisfying. The house has beautiful panting as shown in the photos.

The wardrobe is quite old and located at the very dim area in the room, giving an impression of unclean condition. My family got the room on the second floor and so they had to drag their luggage to the stair at the back of the house and climbed the stair to their room.

Cozy cabin with amazing breakfast in Grainau and near Zugspitze.

Our stay at St Anton was so cozy and relaxing. It felt like a cozy cabin with a bunch of cool little Bavarian and Tyrolean decorations. The location is perfect and the town is situated closeby to Zugspitze which we went to in the morning. The breakfast was absolutely amazing at St Anton and they brought it right to our room at 8am. The hotel owner was very nice and accommodated all of needs. They even provided us with a free bud and train pass to get to Zugspitze which helped out a lot. Thank you so much for everything.

Great place to see Alpine wonders and relax for a couple of days

Haus St Anton was a wonderful, quaint property to stay at while visiting the Zugspitze region. Grainau is such a pretty Bavarian village, and St Anton fits in well in the community. Lots of small touches inside (wood details, Bavarian country scene paintinged on walls and doors, antiques, etc.), and a fantastic Alpine view in the backyard!

Everything about this place was charming. There's a wonderful restaurant next door. And if you are fortunate enough to be there when the owner's mother is there, you're in for a real treat! She is such a wonderful person! They have room service for breakfast.
